England is a green country
Of fields and wooded hills
England is a black country
Of factories and mills
In its big and busy cities
Of concrete, brick and steel
It’s hard to know the people
The way they think and feel
Its language is a mixture
Of Celtic, Saxon, Greek
With German, French and Latin
So it’s difficult to speak

Wales
Wales is one of the most beautiful countries in the united kingdom. Cymru, as it is known in Welsh, is surrounded by sea on three sides, whereas the eastern part borders with England. The country is full of little towns, castles and picturesque seaside villages.
Cardiff
Cardiff, the capital, is a bustling university city with museums, galleries and lovely buildings.
English is the official, but Welsh, one of the oldest languages in Europe, is still spoken in some parts of the country. In fact, a special committee was established in 1988 to protect the language and today Welsh schoolchildren are taught both languages. Welsh has a
beautiful song-like quality, which is perhaps one reason why singing is such a favourite pastime. Playing music, including traditional instruments such as the harp, is another popular hobby.

Cambridge
The city of Cambridge is a university town and the administrative centre of the county of Cambridgeshire, England. It lies in East Anglia, on the River Cam, about 50 miles (80 km) north of London. According to the United Kingdom Census 2001, its population was 108,863 (including 22,153 students), and was estimated to be 130,000 in mid-2010. There is archaeological evidence of settlement in the area in bronze age and Roman times, and under Viking rule Cambridge became an important trading centre. The first town charters were granted in the 12th century, although city status was not conferred until 1951.
Cambridge is most widely known as the home of the University of Cambridge, founded in 1209 and consistently ranked one of the top five universities in the world.[4] The university includes the renowned Cavendish Laboratory, King's College Chapel, and the Cambridge University Library. The Cambridge skyline is dominated by the last two buildings, along with the chimney of Addenbrooke's Hospital in the far south of the city and St John's College Chapel tower.
Cambridge has wonderful architecture.

The city offers a wealth of historic attractions, of which York Minster is the most prominent, and a variety of cultural and sporting activities.
- York Minster, the largest Gothic cathedral in Northern Europe, stands in the city's centre.
- York Castle, a complex of buildings ranging from the medieval Clifford's Tower to the 20th century entrance to the York Castle Museum (formerly a prison) has had a interesting history.
Hadrian's Wall
Hadrian's Wall is a fortification 120 km long, built by the Romans under Emperor Hadrian in 122-126 years to prevent the attacks of the Picts and Brigantes to the north.
For a very long time we could not find Hadrian's Wall and we were very happy when we found it.

- Stratford-upon-Avon lies at the very heart of England. It attracts people not only by its history and connection with William Shakespeare, but also by its wonderful nature and typical English character.
- Here you can visit Shakespeare's birthplace (it is a museum now), Anna Hathaway's cottage (the early home of Shakespeare's wife), the foundations of the New Place, where Shakespeare lived when he retired and died in 1616 (now there is only a wonderful garden on the place of the house). Just round the corner there is Grammar school that Shakespeare used to attend.
- Here in Stratford there is Holly Trinity Church where William Shakespeare was buried. Thousands of people from all parts of England and foreign visitors come here on Shakespeare's birthday (23rd April) to pay tribute to the great poet.
