Цели игры:
Расширить кругозор
Развивать неподготовленную речь учащихся, креативные способности учащихся.
Воспитывать интерес к изучению предмета.
Обобщить знания учащихся о вселенной и планете Земля, полученные на уроках английского языка.
Образовательные задачи:
1. В ходе творческой, самостоятельной, индивидуальной и групповой работы с дидактическими материалами закрепить знания учащихся по изученным темам («Космос и Человек», «Грамматический лабиринт», «Знаменитые исследователи космоса», «Природные катастрофы» и др.) и расширить общий кругозор.
Развивающие задачи:
Развивать умение работать в коллективе и принимать совместное решение;
Развивать положительные личностные качества (ответственность, доброжелательность, чувство взаимопомощи).
Развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление.
Воспитательные задачи:
1. Воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка.
Подготовительная работа:
1. Студента:
а) определение темы мероприятия в ходе беседы с учителем английского языка;
b) определение даты, места и времени проведения мероприятия;
с) подбор информации;
d) разработка сценария мероприятия;
е) подготовка наглядного материала.
2. Учащихся:
а) определиться с составом команд;
b) придумать названия командам и девизы.
с) повторить весь пройденный материал.
Оборудование:
Доска, картинки с изображениями космоса, космонавтов, Земли, природных явлений, компьютер, презентация, учетная карточка команд, видеофайл “The Peak District”, проектор, листы с заданиями.

I Организационный момент
Teacher: Good afternoon, boys and girls! I’m very glad to see you. Today we’ll have an unusual lesson. We’ll have a competition called “It’s a wonderful planet we live on”. Two teams will take part in a game of the most quick-witted and the cleverest. It’s time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the 1st team?
P1(Витвицкий Кирилл): I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Hurricane”. Our motto is “Enjoy English!”
Teacher: Who is the captain of the 2nd team?
P2 (Петренюк Кирилл): I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Tornado”. Our motto is “Learn English!”.

Teacher: Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game and to have fun. For every contest you will get points and at the end of our marathon we will count them and get the winner.
Now I’m going to explain to you how to play this game. The game has 8 contests, they are:
1. The ABC game.
2. The odd words.
3. The right order.
4. Parts and wholes.
5. Proverbs and Tongue twisters.
6. Question Quiz.
7. The Grammar Time.

Teacher: And now we come to the 1st contest of the game called “The ABC game”. Guys, you’ll get some letters from the English alphabet. You must put the letters in the right order, so as to get the name of the natural disasters. You have 1 minute at your disposal. Each team can get 5 points for this task.

Teacher: The next contest is “The Grammar Time”. Your task is to choose the correct verb form. For the first task you can gain one point for each right answer.
