APPEARANCE AND CHARACTER

Цель мероприятия: развитие языковой компетенции

Образовательные задачи:

1. совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения английским языком в монологической и диалогической форме;

2. развивать навыки аудирования;

3. развивать навыки чтения

4. способствовать расширению и углублению знаний по теме «Appearance»

5. закрепление ранее пройденного лексического и грамматического материала

Воспитательные задачи:

1. обеспечить условия по формированию толерантного отношения учащихся к внешности человека, воспитанию чувства коллективизма, сотрудничества

2. повысить мотивацию к изучению английского языка

3. сформировать отношение к иностранному языку как к источнику получения информации и средству межкультурного общения

4. совершенствовать навыки общения, воспитание у учащихся активной жизненной позиции, чувства коллективизма, такта.

Развивающие задачи:

1. развивать мышление, память, воображение

2. расширять кругозор учащихся, через организацию совместной деятельности

3. развивать широту взглядов, умения и навыки самостоятельной работы

4. формировать у учащихся социокультурные компетенции.

5. обучать работе с дополнительными источниками, выступлению перед аудиторией

Введение в атмосферу иноязычного общения

  • Hello. Glad to see you! You look great! Do you like playing quest games? Do you like playing? Ok, you’ll try to find one hidden thing in this room that is connected to the topic of our lesson. This thing is in the box but you need 3 keys to open our box and get this thing. Let’s start. This is a thing you are using right now and I am not using it. It’s a furniture.

  • It’s a chair. The first key is under the chair. Look under your chairs and try to find it.

  • What devise do we have in this room?

  • It’s a board. Come to the board and try to find one more key. You have found only 2 of them.

  • I keep my books there. It’s very big. That’s right. Find the key somewhere on by bookcase. So, you’ve got 3 keys now and as a result you can open the box. What is it? Right you are. It’s a mirror. What do people use it for? What are we going to speak about this lesson? We are going to speak about appearance and character. One more important thing in every person.

  • No, they aren’t. How did you know about this?

  • Right you are! They look like differently. They have different appearance. To remember how to describe people’s appearance let’s remember some words.

Let’s play the game “Make a portrait”. Each team has to choose the artist who is going to the board. You have a picture of a person and you’re describing her/him using your active vocabulary. The artist is drawing a portrait if this person according to your description. For example, This person is a middle-aged woman. She has got short red hair. She has got thin lips. Неr smile is very nice. She has straight nose. She has brown eyebrows and green-grey eyes.
