Hello, everybody! Glad to see you. How are you today? I hope you are all right. But let’s see. Take one of these stickers, you should take that colour that reflects your mood.

OK. Here is your mood at the beginning of the lesson. At the end of it we’ll compare your feelings and emotions.

And now it’s time to be divided into 3 teams. Choose the cards. The first team takes this place and the 2nd one takes that place, the 3rd team goes there, please.

1. So, the first task is using all these letters make up as many words as you can.

2. And using these letters identify the theme of our lesson. It is “THE ROYAL FAMILY”.

So today we’ll speak about a family, but this family is unusual. This family is famous all over the world.

a) Look at the picture and tell me what you can see there. One member of the group is going to have the cards and as you take a card you have to describe the relationship of the family member to the group so they can guess the word. E.g. “Your mother’s sister’s children are your…” “Cousins.”

b) And now it’s time to make up the Royal family tree. So, we are not going to take the whole family tree but just one branch. How do you think why we pay much more attention to Prince Charles? Because he will take over the British throne after Queen Elizabeth II.

What would you like to get to know about this family? Would you like to know where they live, how they live, if their daily life is the same as ours?

I think, it’s always interesting to get to know about the life of famous people.

c) And it’s reading time: The British Royal Family. Let’s read the text and do some tasks.

3. Well, now I’d like to ask you to imagine you are the King/Queen for a day. You can do whatever you like. You can work in pairs and then you’ll tell the rest of the group about your royal day

4. To check up the knowledge about this famous family we’ll play Kahoot. Using information that you have got at today’s lesson and the information you had before you should choose the right variant as fast as you can.
