The Christmas Story

by Leanne Guenther

Once upon a time,
A long, long time ago.
Begins the story of a baby,
That most of you should know.

His daddy's name was Joseph,
And Mary was His mom,
This babe was very special
He was God's only Son.

Some angels came from heaven,
And they began to sing.
To the shepherds in the fields below,
"Glad tidings do we bring!"

A bright star lit the heavens,
To light the magi's way,
To the baby in the manger
Who was born on Christmas day.

And all who gathered round Him,
Rejoiced and praised His birth.
For the babe, the King, named Jesus,
Is our Saviour here on earth!

ПРИЛОЖЕНИЕ 2

Christmas poems. .

  1. December comes so white and cold .

With snow, it stops the rain. It comes and draws trees young and old

On every window pane. He nips my cheeks.

He nips my nose

And before I can catch him,

Away he goes.

2. It is cool and still

The wind is away

And the little Jack Frost

Is busy today

3. Let us wrap presents for you and me

And hide, so no one can see Let us hang tinsel and shining bells

All over the Christmas tree.

4. Look at all the snow

Falling gently down,

Falling on the houses

All around the town

Listen to the wind

Blowing all the snow

Blowing round the houses

All down the row.

5. It’s snowing, it’s snowing! What a lot of snow Let us make some snowbells We all like to throw. It’s snowing, it’s snowing! Let us sledge and ski, When I’m dashing down hills, Clear the way for me. 6. Watch the tiny snowflakes

Softly drifting by

Like a could of feathers

Falling from the sky.

Lightly, very lightly

Making not a sound

Snowflakes form a blanket

On the frozen ground.

7. Santa Claus lives in England. He is funny and merry. His cheeks are like roses, His nose is like a cherry. 8. It is winter, it is Christmas! Look at our Christmas Tree! There are big balls, there are nice dolls, Many candies you can see. 9. There are flags, there are ribbons

Little bells and bright stars, too

Red and orange, green and yellow,

Pink and purple, violet and blue.

10. Let us send cards to everyone

To wish all a happy day

Let us make candy cakes and pies

We have no time to play.

Let us dream of Santa and the toys

For children far and near

Let us dream of wonderful things

Christmas time is here.

11. Happy Christmas

The day is so clear

The snow is so white

The sky is so bright

We shout with all night:

Happy Christmas”.

12. Happy Christmas to you

Happy Christmas to me

Happy Christmas to all our friends.

Happy Christmas to school

And to our teachers too

And I wish my wish comes true

ПРИЛОЖЕНИЕ 3.

It is winter, it is Christmas!
Look at our Christmas tree!

There are big balls, there are nice dolls,
Many candies can see you.
There are flags, there are ribbons,

Little bells and bright stars, too.

Red and orange, green and yellow,
Pink and purple, violet and blue.
We have a fir-tree in the hall.
It is so beautiful and tall!

Around it we dance and play
Because it is a New Year Day.
The New Year Tree so fine and tall
Stands in the centre of the hall.

Its needles are green,
Its toys are bright.
Our New Year Party is tonight.

Around the fir-tree let us play,
Because it is a New Year Day.

What do you see in the fir-tree?
I see a plane, a ship, a car,
A flag, a bird, a tram, a star,
A horse, a cat, a cock, a dog.

A fox, a pig, a duck,
A frog, a hen, a chick,
A ball, a drum,
An apple, a pear and a plum.

ПРИЛОЖЕНИЕ 4.

New Year Day, happy day,
We are all glad and very gay!
We all dance and sing and say:
“Welcome! Welcome! New Year Day”!
Happy New Year, my dear friends!
Happy New Year!

Father Frost:

I want to give you lots of love
And want to say right here:
Have a happy New Year Day
And then a happy Year!
