Тема: Наука и техника.
Коммуникативная задача: Приоритетные направления развития науки и техники в XXI веке.
Образовательная цель: Развитие умений устной монологической и диалогической речи (развитие умения вести дискуссию; развить способность высказать свое мнение).
Сопутствующие задачи: совершенствование навыков изучающего чтения; активизация лексических единиц в речи; совершенствование навыков аудирования.
Воспитательная цель: социализация мышления в процессе взаимодействия; воспитание интереса к науке.
Развивающая цель: совершенствование культуры устной речи; развитие мышления; развитие языковой догадки; развитие слуховой памяти; развитие внимания.
Оснащение урока: раздаточный материал; аудиопроиложение; компьютер: доска.

Совершенствование навыков изучающего чтения | Thank you very much. It’s true that there are a lot of things around us that help us. But they don’t appear at once. It always takes a long period of time. But do you know how all it started? (Pupils give their suggestions.) I also have one suggestion. Hand out the cards with a text. Ex.1: Look through the following words, pronounce them correctly after the teacher, give the right variant of translation:
Ex.2: Read the first sentence of the text and try to guess what the text is going to be about. Read the text and see whether you were right. The spaceship flew around the new planet several times. The planet was blue and green. They couldn't see the surface of the planet because there were too many white clouds. The spaceship descended slowly through the clouds and landed in the middle of a green forest. The two astronauts put on their space suits, opened the door, climbed carefully down the ladder, and stepped onto the planet. The woman looked at a small control unit on her arm. 'It's all right' she said to the man. 'We can breathe the air... it's a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen. 'Both of them took off their helmets and breathed deeply. They looked at everything carefully. All the plants and animals looked new and strange. They couldn't find any intelligent life. | |||||||||||||||||
| | After several hours, they returned to their spaceship. Everything looked normal. The man switched on the controls, but nothing happened. 'Something's wrong' he said. 'I don't understand... the engines aren't working.' He switched on the computer, but that didn't work either. 'Eve,' he said, 'we're stuck here... we can't take off!' Don't worry, Adam,' she replied. 'They'll rescue us soon.' Ex.3: After you have read the text, state the main idea of the text. Ex.4: What happened next? Give your predictions. | ||||||||||||||||

Divide into three groups, read the texts and fill in the table, sharing the information with other groups. (cards)

Развитие умений монологической и диалогической речи | Most people associate science and technology with progress, progress to a cleaner, safer world. Is it really so? Do you agree? What are the advantages and disadvantages of scientific progress? Now let’s conduct a survey. Hand out the cards, read each of the given statements then indicate your response by checking “I agree” or “I disagree.” Comment on your point of view. Agree/disagree with your classmates.

Подведение итогов (Совершенствование навыков аудирования) | Thank you for the lesson, you were very active today. I think you liked the lesson too. And now I want you to listen to the song of the group “Ace of Bace” – “Happy Nation”. There are such lines in it:
