Описание разработки

Цели урока:

Обучающие: систематизировать лексические, грамматические знания и совершенствовать речевые умения и навыки учащихся по теме «Защита окружающей среды», способы защиты окружающей среды.

Развивающие: развитие творческих способностей учащихся, способности логически излагать, сопоставлять и сравнивать полученные данные.

Воспитательные: формирование

- чувства сопричастности к проблемам экологии,

- любви и бережного отношения к окружающей среде.

Задачи урока:

Совершенствование речевых умений и навыков;

Обобщение и систематизация полученных знаний.

Ход урока.

I. Организационный момент.

Teacher: Good morning, dear pupils! Nice to see you! Take your seats, please.

Teacher: How are you?

Pupils: Fine, thanks. And you?

Teacher: I am well, thank you. Let’s begin our lesson. I’m sure that you are full of energy and ready to do our lesson interesting and rich. Look around the class, today we have guests at the lesson, but our classroom looks a little bit messy. What is there on the desk? (tins, cans, plastic bottles and newspapers). What do you think, what is the topic of our lesson?

Teacher: Yes, you are right. The theme of today’s lesson is “How can we help the environment?” The problem of our lesson is the global situation in ecology and what can we do with it. We are going to discuss how we can help the environment, what we must do to help the environment.

II. Фонетическая зарядка.

Teacher: Look at the blackboard, please. You know these words quite well. Let’s repeat them paying attention to the pronunciation.

Pupils: Environment, pollution, destruction, habitat, harmful, substances, global, warming, waste, layer, acid, ozone, rain, dioxide, oxygen, carbon, increase, damage, chemicals, society, disaster.

III. Речевая подготовка.

Teacher: Nature is everything we can see around us: the Sun, the Moon, the stars, our Earth, the plants that grow on it, the animals that live on it. Nature is a nice storybook and those who are attentive can find a lot of interesting things in it.You can see a lot of wonders: blue sky, shiny stars, bright sunshine, green trees, deep oceans and seas. Artists create their masterpieces, inspired by the charming beauty of Nature; musicians compose songs and music, poets glorify the world around us in their poems and verse. Byron and Shakespeare, Pushkin and Esenin sang the beauty of Universe. I am sure you know wonderful verse by these or other poets. Does anyone want to present us with a piece of poetry?

Pupil:

All for you (an unknown modern author).

The trees of the forest

The flowers on the lea,

The birds on the branches

The fish of the sea

The rocks and the mountains

Teacher: Oh, thank you very much indeed. We’ve just listened to the poems devoted to the beauty of Nature.

Teacher: The poem was very amusing and marvelous.

You know that since ancient times Nature has served Man, being the source of his life. For thousands of years people lived in harmony with environment and it seemed to them that natural riches were unlimited. But with the development of civilization man’s interference in nature began to increase.

In the 20th century man’s economic activities began to produce negative effects on the biosphere. Your home task was to determine the environmental problems. What are they?

IV. Развитие навыков монологической речи. Презентация проектов.

Pupil 1: Water is life. It is a precious commodity that must be conserved. But water is polluted. The fish in the river is dead. We can’t drink this water. The seas are in danger too.

They are filled with poison: industrial and nuclear waste, chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

The Mediterranean is already nearly dead.

The North Sea is following. The Aral Sea is on the brink of extinction. If nothing is done about it, one day nothing will be able to live in the seas.

Save water! It’s easier than you think! Never forget to turn off water! For you’ll have no water to drink! You can have a bath or a shower, but today is the time to think. Save the rivers because without them, you’ll have no water to drink.

Pupil 2: Air pollution is another serious problem. In Cairo just breathing the air is dangerous – equivalent to smoking two packs of cigarettes a day. The same holds true for many Russian cities. Big cities have a problem with air pollution: the “killer smog” caused some 3500- 4000 deaths in London in December 1952. Factories emit tons of harmful chemicals. They are the main reason for the greenhouse effect and acid rains.

Please stop it! Because nothing is forever and nature is getting tired, if we don’t stop and think today tomorrow the Earth could die!

Clean Air Day is officially announced from time to time in the USA and Canada. Its aim is to encourage people to walk, bike or ride public transit. I think it’s a very good idea! Thanks.

Pupil 3: We mustn’t kill animals. You know that people all over the world are worried about our smallest brothers. But on the other hand they use thousands of animals every year for tests of things like shampoos. Some animals die or go blind because of these tests. People kill whales for their oil, which is used for cosmetics and soap. A lot of jewellery is made from ivory, from the horn of elephants and rhinos.The issue of animals’ protection is very important. Every year the population of animals is getting less and less. I love animals and I know they need our help. We should protect animals against cruelty. Don’t cut down the forests. When the forests disappear many animals are disturbed.
