Цель: коммуникативно – речевое развитие учащихся через обобщение знаний о традициях празднования Рождества в Великобритании и России.
Задачи :
- обобщить грамматический и лексический материал 1 полугодия;
- обучать устному высказыванию по теме Christmas in Britain;
- систематизировать страноведческий материал о Великобритании;
- закрепление материала Future Simple Tense.
- развитие навыков говорения, чтения, письма, аудирования.
Тип урока: комбинированный.
Оборудование урока: компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, доска, раздаточный материал, программа Power Point,Word, Ahead DVD Ripper,AVI MPEG ASF WMV Splitter, Honestech Video Editor 6.5, Winamp, аудиозапись песни “ Jingle Bells ”.

Приветствие, ознакомление учащихся с темой урока, целями и задачами. Создание положительного эмоционального настроя, мотивирование.

Today we are going to speak about the traditions of celebratiоn Christmas in Great Britain. Christmas is а Christian holiday. It is the birthday of Jesus Christ.
In our country it is on the 7th of January. In the Roman Church it is on the 25th of December.
В России Рождество празднуют 7го января, православные люди, а в Британии празднуют 25го декабря, католики. Различие в 13 дней. Различие возникает в Юлианском и Григорианском календарях.

Most families have a Christmas tree in their homes. They decorate the tree with colorful lights, tinsel and toys. They put presents for all the family under the Christmas tree.

On Christmas Eve children hang stockings for Father Christmas to fill with presents. In France children put their shoes near the fireplace so Father Christmas can fill them with presents.

Singing Christmas songs is another old tradition. In England, Canada, the USA groups of children and adults go from house to house and sing Christmas songs, called carols. Some people give them money, sweets and small presents.

British people have fun with crackers at Christmas lunch or dinner. The crackers go bang and inside you find a colorful paper party hat or crow, small presents, jokes.

Most Scottish families have a Christmas tree and sing carols but they have their most important celebration on New Year’s Eve. It’s called Hogmanay.

In Australia and New Zealand, December comes during the summer. Many people celebrate Christmas by going on a picnic or going to the beach. Schoolchildren have a six-week summer holiday at Christmas!!!
