Lesson objectives

All learners will be able to:

  • Learn to understand and respond to short, basic supported and unsupported classroom instructions.

  • Most learners will be able to:

  • Develop the ability to ask and answer questions using appropriate word stress and intonation in order to find out about a limited range of personal information and classroom routines.

Some learners will be able to:

  • Learn to express themselves using basic modals and common present simple

Success criteria

Students will have succeeded in this class if they:

  1. Name new words correctly

  2. Followed the instruction of the teacher immediately with support

  3. Say at least 2 sentences using reflexive pronouns correctly

I.Organization moment.

Good morning boys and girls. Sit down, please.

Who is on duty today?

What day is it today?

What is the date today?

What is the weather like today?

Who is absent?

II. Phonetic drill

Look at the blackboard and listen to me, please!

The storm came up so very quick
It couldn’t have been quicker.
I should have brought my hat along,
I should have brought my slicker.
My hair is wet, my feet are wet,
I couldn’t be much wetter.
I fell into a river once
But this is even better.

III. New words.

Now look at the blackboard. Listen to me, carefully. Repeat after me.

  1. Jungle – джунгли

  2. Volcano – жанартау – вулкан

  3. Ocean – мұхит – океан

  3. You can see a table of pronouns. Listen to me attentively. You know personal pronouns. Name them. (I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they).

  4. We have a group of pronouns that are used to say about things you can do. They are called reflexive pronouns. And look how we form them.
