Recognize not less than 4 musical instruments and make up not less than 2 sentences like “When I play the guitar I have to pluck it” with teacher’s support. | |||

The aims: | A Teacher asks learners: Guess what is there in the box? The learners ask questions. Teacher shows a tambourine and asks: How do you think What is the topic of the lesson? We’ll learn type of music. You can talk about your favourite music. You can say what you have to do when you play the piano. |

Activity 3 Listen point and repeat. Ex 27 р.75 Show the card with letters ck or you can write them on the board and say /k/ . The pupil repeat, chorally then individually. Activity 4 Complete. Then listen and repeat. Ex 28 р. 75. Show the musical instruments. Elicit the action What can I do? I can … (pluck, strike and shake).
Explain the pupils that we use “have to” to show that we must do something. Say: When you play the piano, you have to strike it. The learners say the same phrases about musical instruments. Activity 5 Match then say.. Ex 29 p.75 Ask the learners to match the words to the following pictures,

Explain to the learners we use “have to” to say what we must do. When you play the trumpet, you have to blow into it. Ask learners to say the same for the other musical instruments. | ||||||||||||||||
Ending the lesson
| Activity 6 Do a poster A teacher divides learner in groups of four. Then a teacher gives pictures and phrases for each group. The learners glue the musical instruments and the suitable phrases. Then they present their poster to class. They can use the phrases: When you play the tambourine, you have to shake it. When you play the recorder you have to blow it. When you play the drum, you have to strike it. When you play the guitar , you have to pluck it.) Teacher’s and learners’ feedback. Learners write what they can do/can’t do.
