The outline of the lesson
І. Warm-up:
1 Do you help at home?
2 Do you help your mother or father?
3 Do you tidy your room?
4 Do you help with the shopping or the cooking?
II. Presentation:
Students will be divided into three groups by choosing pictures, after they will discuss these themes:
- A helping hand at home
- A helping hand at school
- A helping hand at garden
III. Listening
They will listen to tape recorder and answer the questions looking at the pictures:
What did they do? What did they use to do the house work?
- She is doing the ironing – used iron
- He is doing the washing –used apron
- They are doing the sweeping-used broom
- They are doing the cooking-used frying pan
- She is doing the dusting- used vacuum cleaner
They will do exercise like this by electronic disk.
IV. Miming game
One of the student from each group come to the teacher and chooses a piece of paper and with their group should mime the activity
- You and your friends are going to help your grandparents about the garden
- You and your sisters and brothers are going to help tidying the supermarket
- You and your classmates are going to help tidying a big house for birthday party
V. Guessing table
Teacher: 1. Read the text complete the table
2. Put the theme to the story
Alex is the youngest child in his family. He never does anything about the house. He likes sleeping and making a mess. When somebody asks him to help, his answer is always ready: I can’t do that! His parents and he decided to go to the village. Aunt Amelia has 5 children. They all played together all day, the next day Alex’s parents decided to go back. As Alex was interested in playing with children they left him at the village.
After their leaving, Amelia’s children began to help about the house, garden. First they dig potatoes, gathered flowers. Second they dusted, cleaned, swept. He understood that helping parents is good feeling, you and your parents are also happy and proud of you. When he came home, he quickly began doing the housework. His parents thanked aunt and her children for their help.

These children are at school but they are not having lessons today. It is the day of their school fair and they are outside in the school field. Lots of visitors have come to spend the afternoon there. There are lots of things to buy. The children at this stall have baked cakes and made sweets. They look delicious. Other children have brought books and toys to the fair and they are selling them to their friends. This boy has just ought a robot. There are games to play too. This girl has just won a prize. She has thrown a ring over one of the toys. This man is holding a big hammer. Can he ring the bell? Is he strong enough? Some children are dressed as clowns. They are playing a guitar and singing songs. They have been singing for half an hour. People have given a lot of money. They have put it in their hat. These small children want to be clowns, too. Their faces are painted and they are given bright red nose. You can buy ice creams and balloons. You can have a ride on a pony or bounce on a trampoline. Everyone is having fun and helping to make lots of money for their school.
