Good morning, dear friends!
Good morning, teacher!
I am glad to see you.
We are glad to see you, too.
How are you today?
We are fine, thank you.
Today we will dip into the world of literature, we will visit some places associated with literature and meet some famous British writers. But first we need to check up your homework
Фонетическая разминка
Let’s revise the poem “Hobbies” (см. урок 1) as we’ll need the correct pronunciation of the sound [rj], Read it all together. Can you recite the poem by heart? Try to compose a poem yourselves.
Речевая разминка
Before we start our talk about literary Britain let us revise some grammar. Read the necessary information on pages 240—242 and ask me questions if you have any.
Open your Activity Books. Let’s do exercise 5 on page 10. I give you two minutes to discuss the sentences in pairs (или без обсуждения в парах).
Now we will check up the task. One of you will read the sentence, another one will say if it is correct.
Или Let's check up the exercise. Read the sentences with the correct forms of the verbs, another student will translate it. So I see that you have done the task at home correctly.
Развитие навыков аудирования
As you know reading is one of the activities teenagers enjoy doing. British teenagers are also interested in it. Let us see what places in Britain are connected with literature.
Look at the map on page 11, study it. Learn to pronounce the names of places correctly. Repeat after me. (T->Ps; Pl->Ps.)
Now read them one by one.
What do you know (have you heard) about these places? Do you know how they are associated with literature? Now you will listen to the guide. Except these places he will mention some writers.
