What does endangered species mean?

• A type or species of living thing that has decreased so much that its population is in great danger of dying out

Why are some animals in danger of extinction ?

• They are killed for their skins, ivory, fins and other body parts to satisfy the global illegal wildlife products
• Their natural habitat is being destroyed
• Because of air and water pollution
• Because of different disease

According to the World Wildlife Federation ( WWF ) the most endangered species are

• Black Rhino
• Giant Panda
• Tiger
• Goldenseal
• Alligator Snapping Turtle
• Green-Cheeked Parrot
• Mako Shark

The giant panda is probably the most popular animal on earth. It is known worldwide as the symbol of conservation. The sad fact is though that the giant panda still remains one of the most endangered animals on the planet.

And when reporting questions check: question type , word order. You report questions that have a yes/no answer using if or whether . Question words ( what , who , where , why , how , etc.) do not change when reported, but the word order does change .
