Описание разработки

Objectives:

1) to encourage the pupils to speak in English in different theme for the 7th form

2) to learn to be friendly, kind.

3) to learn to work in groups

4) to defend their project work: 

”Living in the future  time”

Preparation: cards, slides with different tasks, coded message.

Plan

1Warm up

2. Greeting to each other

3. A game: “Collection words”

4. Find the words

5. Make p picture and find the task

6. Say tongue-twister

7. Captain competition

8. Present your project work: “Living in the future tin me”.

9. Conclusion and congratulations on the awards.

1.T: Dear friend! Nice to see you. Today we have a VERY INTERESTING COMPETITION ON THE THEME “Living in the future time” You will see the beauty and wealth of the English language through its tongue-twister and the other expressions.

2.T: Let’s begin our completion with the greeting to each other.

7 th “a”               7th “b”

3. T: Next task is – “Collection words”

Look at these verbs:

1-drive,sell,cook

2- play, clean, wash

And think as many words as you can with these verbs.

Eg. Fly: play, kite etc.

4. T: Look at the screen and circle 6 words in each category and write them in the spaces.

7th “a”- animals, clothes, parts of the body.

7th “b”- food, transport, sports

5. T: Make up the picture and  you find the next task

6. T: Look at the screen and read the tongue-twister as quickly as you can. Your reading must be good too.

Swan swam over the sea,

Swim, swan ,swim!

Swan swam back again

Well swum, swan!

Parrot Peter picked a peck of pickled peppers!

3 Three grey geese in the green grass grazing,

Grey were the geese and green was the grazing

My dame has a lame tame crane,

My dame has a lame tame crane that is lame,

Let my dame’s tame crane

Feet and come home again.

7. T: Now, the captain competition. Captain come on! Your task is: Answer the questions as quickly as you can for a one minute.

How often do you read English books?

How often do you watch TV in English?

How often do you listen English songs?

Do you speak English with friends?

Do you watch films in English?

Who was Ibn Batuta?

Was John Speke a British Solder?

Who discovered America?

What modal verbs do you know?

10.How often do you eat fresh fruit?

How often do you drink tea and cola?

What is the name of the house in Arctic?

What has been gold used for?

14.How many oceans are there in the world?

15. Which ocean is covered with ice?

16. When did dinosaurs disappeared?

17. What season is it now?

18 .How old is your friend?

19. What is your mother’s name?

20. Do you like  our competition?

8. T: And the last task : your home project, which you must prepare at home on the theme “Living in the future time”

9. T: Our time is out. Let’s give a word to our jury. And listen to the results of the score of every task and the general score.

I think you like to take part at the competition. You really were active and tried your best. Our congratulations on your awards. Good luck for everybody.
