- to practice pupils using Past tenses and speak on the topic using relevant vocabulary

2. Developing:

to develop pupils skills in logical thinking and the ability to express their opinion on the topic;

3. Educative:

to widen students’ knowledge Past tenses and its usage

- to form pair, individual work skills.

Ход урока.

I. Organizational moment.

T: Good afternoon, boys and girls!

T: How are you, today? Are you ready for lesson?

T: Well, pupils, at first, let’s check the class atmosphere.

Who is on duty today?Is anybody absent today?

What is the date today?

What is the day today?

What season is it now?

Do you like winter?

II. 1. Starting point.

Warm-up activity.

Tongue twister.

Well! Students! Let`s read the tongue twisters and quick.

2. Vocabulary.

Students! Let`slisten to and read the words and write with their translations.

3. Reading-Speaking.

Copies of the text.

Let`s watch the video about C. Dickens and look at the pictures of C. Dickens. And read the text and find the verbs in Past Tenses.

And answer the questions to each other. Then do the task `True or False` and read it.

III. Summing up the results of the lesson.

Reflection/ Feedback.

What new did you know at the lesson? What was interesting/difficult?

Home task.
