Today we`ll get acquainted with some new words. Look, listen and repeat:

Now look at the pictures again and try to translate them quicker than I do.

Local school – местная школа, local football team – местная футбольная команда, local tennis competition местные соревнования по теннису.

Group of four – группа из четырех, group of students – группа учеников, a group task – групповое задание

Social life – социальная жизнь, social programme – социальная (здесь – культурная) программа

to stay at home – оставаться дома, to stay at school after the lessons – остаться в школе после уроков, to stay with your partner family – остановиться в семье партнера

to arrange to meet договориться о встрече, to arrange chairs in the classroom – расставить стулья в классе, to arrange date and time – договориться о дате и времени. Pay attention! That we don`t need any preposition in this phrase! Обратите внимание, нам не нужен предлог ‘о’ в данной фразе.

Be responsible for – быть ответственным за, the costs of accommodation –расходы по размещению, if we join these phrases we get: be responsible for the costs of accommodation – быть ответственным за расходы за жилье.
