First of all, let’s revise the verb “have got”.

It’s translated as:

Now let's answer the question:

How do we form sentences with the verb “have got”?

Positive sentences

We put the subject in the first place.

For example:

I

They

Then we put the verb “have got” if we use: I, you, we, they.

And we put the verb “has got” if we use: he, she, it.

For example:

I have got

He has got

She has got

It has got

You have got

We have got

They have got

Look at the examples:

Brandon and Julia have got a computer.

Melanie has got a bed in her bedroom.

Negative sentences

We put the subject in the first place.

For example:

Then we put the words “have not” if we use: I, you, we, they.

And we put the words “has not” if we use: he, she, it.

The short forms are “haven’t” and “hasn’t”.

After that we put the word “got”.

For example:

I haven’t got

He hasn’t got

She hasn’t got

It hasn’t got

You haven’t got

We haven’t got

They haven’t got

Look at the examples:

Or

Melanie hasn’t got a bed in her bedroom.

Questions

We put the words “have” or “has” in the first place.

Then we put the subject.
