If we do not change our ways in dealing with Mother Earth, we will soon die out. One way of escaping ENVIRONMENTAL disasters is to reduce the exploitation of our NATURAL resources. We have to find RENEWABLE energy sources which will be more ENVIRONMENTALLY-friendly and will not pollute the air so much. This will certainly be hard to do, as HARDLY any country is willing to invest in ECOLOGY but we have to work HARD for the future generations. Finally, we have to remember that the changes must start with us: Earth is our home, our habitat, and we have to take good care of it. NATURALLY, if we do not do anything ourselves, why should we expect others to clean the environment for us?

For Want of a Nail

For want of a nail the shoe was lost.

For want of a shoe the horse was lost.

For want of a horse the rider was lost.

For want of a rider the message was lost.

For want of a message the battle was lost.

For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.

And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.

The rhyme is a good illustration of the “butterfly effect”, which shows that small actions can result in large after effect and …. even change the world.

Tell your parents, and your grandparents and your friends to do the small things that count.

We must take it step by step to make sure that you have a future to grow up there.

Person by person, family by family, community by community together we can make a difference.
