Урок -проект "Культурная жизнь в Беларуси"

Урок-проект "заседание ораторского клуба" имеет две основные части. В первой части занятия учитель знакомит учащихся с основными правилами ораторского искусства по средствам выполнения интересных заданий. Вторая часть содержит информацию о культурных мероприятиях Беларуси. Дети, применяя полученные ранее знания об ораторском мастерстве, обсуждают информацию.

Oratory club

The main idea behind this club is to nurture confidence, creativity and imagination amongst the students. Club aims to encourage students to read broadly, articulate their thoughts expressively and to understand texts that have influenced society and culture over the years. 

The aim of this activity to bare the oratory strength in the pupils and students. It builds confidence in them to face the crowd and make correct speeches. The club also assists in the development of their writing skills.


Teacher: Each of us was in a situation where the beliefs of the communicator required more than beautiful words. The art of oratory is of particular importance in our age of communications. Today, under the art of silver tongue means a kind of monologue, intended to appeal to a certain audience with the purpose of persuasion. Competent speech has always been considered the key to success. It should be remembered that public speaking is not an inborn talent, it is possible and necessary to train and develop. The science of rhetoric is a science, like physics, chemistry, and, with some effort, anyone can learn it.

Today we will talk about the basic principles of oratory. What you need to know in order to be a good speaker. Try to search for necessary information doing interesting tasks.

You are right. Our speech is clear and distinct thanks to our tongue, sincere and sonorous thanks to our lips. Our jaw gives volume of sound and confidence.


There some rules for a good orator:

1. The first phrases should not be composed of long and complex sentences.

2. Do not be afraid to seem ridiculous, funny.

3. It is necessary to give information in an unusual way to engage a listener.

4. The quotations launch the mechanism of co-creation.

Task: Imagine that you are talking to a foreign friend who wants to visit any cultural festival held in Belarus. Choose an international cultural event and convince your foreign friend that it's worth visiting.
