The procedure of the competition:
I. Organization moment.
Teacher: Good afternoon, children and our guests! I’m very glad to see you here. Now we shall organize a competition called “Star’s hour”.
- Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game. I hope you’ll enjoy our competition.
Let me introduce you the juries to count the points of our competition. They are: ______________ .
- Well, let’s start our competition. Our competition consists of 8 rounds:
1. Star’s of “Article “A/An”
2. Star’s of “Noun”
3. Star’s of “Numeral”
4. Star’s of “Adjective”
5. Star’s of “Verb “to be”
6. Star’s of “Modal verb “Should”
7. Star’s of “to be going to”
8. Star’s of “There is / There are”.
1. Star’s of “Article “A/An”
The pirate prepares two trunks for us. We should divide these words into trunks with correct article a/an.
Now, pupils look at the interactive board:
- table apple
- book pencil
- egg pen
- orange dog

- cat window
- door dress
- air mountain
- football girl
- room fish
- tie pear
2. Star’s of “Noun”.
- Now, pupils divided this words countable and uncountable nouns:
picture, apple, snow, water, milk, music, orange, car, money, pear, salt, dress, egg, chocolate, pen, door, window, dog, rain, table, coffee, book, lamp, sugar, sofa, butter, bread, juice.
3. Star’s of “Numeral.
- Now, pupils say the numerals:

- Now, pupils work with cards. Complete the degrees of adjectives:
5. Star’s of “Verb “to be”.
- Now, pupils look who is it? (It is the verb “to be” – am, is, are ). And, of course we should do the task:
I ____ Kazakh. I ____ a pupil.
We ___ married. He ___ a doctor.
It ____ cheap. We ___ pupils.
They ____ teachers. They __ children.
