Описание разработки

Theme: Clothes.

Aim of the lesson:

to encourage pupils to be active while doing different kinds of activities,

to consolidate and systematize pupils’ knowledge of the theme “Clothes”.

Procedure of the lesson.

I. Organization moment (1 min.)

Т: Good morning, boys and girls. I am glad to see you. How are you today?

- I’m fine, thanks. You look fantastic today!

Children, we have many guests at our lesson today. Say “Hello to our guests”. Thank you. Sit down.

II. Warm-up. (5 min.)

Hello, boys and girls. My name’s Mr. Bodkin. I want to talk with you. (a dialogue with Mr. Bodkin)

Hello. What’s your name?  How old are you?    

Where are you from? (A good girl / boy. Be my friend.)

Are you happy / sad / tired?

Are you hungry / thirsty?  Are you cold / hot?

Can you dance? (run, jump, swim, ride a bike, fly? Show me, please.

Can you sing a song?

Now, children let’s sing a song to our friend.

Sit down, Mr. Bodkin and listen to our song.

Singing the song. (Track 10)             

A game “Hidden Pictures” 3 (min.)

- Children, I have lost 8 pictures, help me to find them, please.

(Pictures of clothes from the chant “The clothes rhyme”).

Thank you. It’s for you. (a sticker) Let’s count our pictures. – Eight. Yes, Fine.

So, today we are going to talk about “Clothes”, play games and sing songs.

Let’s start our lesson.

III. Phonetic Drill. 2 (min.)

- Let’s say the chant "The clothes rhyme”

Cap and shoes and jeans and blouses,

IV. Speech Drill. 3 (min.)  

а) Revision of lexical material of the theme “Clothes.”

Brainstorming.             

A game. Pass the ball to each other and name the pictures.

- It’s a ----.

- They are ----.

A dress, a blouse, a skirt, a jacket, a coat, a jumper, a shirt, a T-shirt, a hat, a cap, trousers, jeans, socks, shoes, boots, pyjamas, trainers, shorts.

Thanks a lot. Children, go to your places. Sit down. Open your copybook. Write the date and “Clothes”. I’ll give you these papers. Write your names on the top. For your right answers I’ll give you stickers. Stick them on your papers. At the end of the lesson we’ll count them. And I’ll give your marks.

V. Match the words and pictures. (Work with the interactive board.)

VI. Work with the book. (Track 18) 5 (min.)

a) Ex. 8 p. 38 (PB) Listen and find the stickers.

Find the stickers, describe each sticker.

- What is it? It’s a jumper. What colour is the jumper? It’s yellow. It’s a yellow jumper.

- What are they? They are trousers. What colour are trousers? They are white.

b) Ex. 9 p. 38 (PB) Listen again. Then write answers.(Track 19)

What is she wearing? She’s wearing a yellow ---, blue --- and  brown ---.

What is he wearing? He’s wearing a red ---, white --- and black and white --    

VII. A Physical Minute. 2 (min.)

Mr. Bodkin: Are you tired? Are you sad? Let’s have a rest.

Close your eyes. Dream about your favourite places.

Open your eyes. Look at the board. What’s this?

Stand up. Come up to me. Let’s walk and sing a song “We’re walking in the jungle”.
