National sports association in Kazakhstan was founded in May 2004. It includes the Federation of national equestrian sports; kokpar; togyzkumalak; berkutchi; zhelmaya; Zhekpe-zhek, trick riding and others.
 Boundless spaces are the element of freedom and infinity. Nomad has long conquered its fast, sturdy and powerful steed. The horse was not only a loyal assistant, but also proud of steppe peoples. Horse for Kazakh hasalways been something much greater than a means of transportation, a food source, the attribute of wealth and prestige among neighbors. It was part of the philosophy of life and attitude of man. Barrens, and her behavior and actions are the answer to many complex human issues. And today it is in a sense a cult, somewhat above material, metaphysical animal and at the same time a way to express themselves in the sport.

It is ano coincidence race which is one of the most popular types of national sports. The calendar of racing season in 2008 had only 15 races on the Alma Ata racetrack, where the owners put up for the derby the best horses of the country.

1.Arkan-Tartu
