The tower of Sjujumbike is recognised as architectural symbol of Kazan and widely known for outside of Tatarstan. It concerns "falling" towers.

The Blagoveshchensky Cathedral is built in 1562 by the known Pskov architect Postnik Jakovlev who is traditionally considered as the founder of the Cathedral of Vasily Blazhennyj in Moscow.
