Описание разработки

Цель урока:

расширение знаний учащихся по теме «Музыка. Музыкальные жанры и инструменты.»

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

- ввести новые, тренировать и закреплять в речи учащихся лексические единицы по теме;

Развивающие:

- продолжить развитие у учащихся навыков чтения,аудирования, говорения;

- продолжить развитие мышления, внимания, памяти, языковой догадки;

- продолжить развитие личностной активности учащихся.

Ход урока.

I. Организационныймомент. Приветствие.

- Goodmorning, dearstudents! I’m glad to see you. Let’s start the lesson. Today we are going to have a very interesting lesson.

First, think and answer: What is the theme of the lesson? What are we going to talk about? (Students’ answers)

- You are right. Today our theme is «Music. Musical genres and instruments». We will study some new words; speak about music, musical instruments, and types of music.

II. Фонетическаязарядка.

- At first let’sdiscuss the following questions as a class:

- Do you ever download MP3 files from the Internet? Do you ever listen to MP3 files on your computer?

- About how many CDs do you have? What was the last CD you bought?

- Who is your favourite singer or group? What kinds of music do you dislike?

III. Обучение чтению.

Повторение и введение новых слов.

- OK. It’s time to learn revise and learn some words. Listen and repeat the words after me: jazz, classical music, rock, rap, club music, guitar, keys, drums…

- Divide these words into 2 columns – 1) musical genres and 2) musical instruments.

- Great. The next task for you: read the texts in ex. 3, p. 144 and find the main problem.

3. a) Read what Sue, a teenager says about music.

- Well, I love music. I listen to it all the time. I can listen to music even when I’m out because I’ve got a Walkman. At home I always turn on the radio and I watch pop programmes on TV.

I buy an album or cassette once a week, usually something in the top ten. Pop music (loud enough) keeps me happy!

b) Now read what her grandmother says.

- I understand Sue is only 14 but she’s driving me mad with her music. I can’t talk to her because she’s always got that Walkman on and she can’t hear me. Sometimes it’s the TV or the radio.

I am not worried only because I can’t talk to her, no! I am worried because she doesn’t do anything else. She never reads, writes letters or phones her friends. It’s just pop music!

Ex. 4, p. 144: circle the correct answer.

The text is about:

a. different opinions about music,

b. different kinds of music,

c. different musical insrtuments.

Ex. 5, p. 144: Talk about these questions with another student:

Do you think many young people are like Sue?

Is it a bad thing to listen to music all the time? Why (not)?

Are you like Sue? Is anyone in your family like Sue’s grandmother?

What do usually teenagers say about listening to music?

What do usually their parents say about listening to music?

IV. Обучение говорению. Закрепление изученной лексики.

- Excellent. You have learnt some words before. But how can we use them in our talk? Now I am going to show you some phrases written on the sheets.

You task is make sentences using a phrase and one of the words you have known today.

- For example let’s take the phrase «I can play …». You can make up such sentences as:I can play the guitar. I can play the drums…

Phrases:

- I can play …

- I can’t play …

- I’d like to play …

- Now answer my questions: Can you play …? Would you like to play …?
