Suggested answer:
I’d like to travel around the world. I’m looking forward to playing tennis this weekend. I can’t stand working during summer holidays. I try to avoid spending too much money. I’ve always wanted to be better at cooking. I’m used to getting good marks in tests. I’ve stopped expecting life to be easy. etc
Ex 4a, p.50- Explaining differences in meaning. Write up the sentences from item 1 on the
board. Invite Ss to comment on the difference in meaning between them. Ss discuss items 2 and 3 with a partner.
