Тема урока: " Let`s celebrate ".
Цель урока:
Развитие языковой компетентности учащихся по теме «Праздники»
Задачи:
практические - активизировать знания, умения и навыки учащихся по теме; учить логически строить высказывание на основе прослушанной и переработанной информации.
развивающие – развивать кругозор учащихся, творческие навыки;
воспитательные – создавать возможность для проявления индивидуальных способностей учащихся, развитие навыков к сотрудничеству;
образовательные – совершенствовать фонетические и лексические навыки, расширить словарный запас, активизировать знакомую лексику в речевых ситуациях, создать условия для спонтанной речи.
Оборудование и раздаточные материалы: мультимедийная установка, карточки с заданиями.
Тип урока: комбинированный урок
Технологии: игровая, групповая, современного проектного обучения, коммуникативного обучения иноязычной культуре, ИКТ.
Ход урока:
Организационный момент, введение темы.
Teacher: Good morning. I’m very glad to see all of you today. I hope everybody is ready to work. To guess what we are going to talk about have a look at the screen. You can see some pictures, try to predict what we are going to talk at our today`s lesson. (Слайд 2)
(Учащиеся высказывают свои предположения)
Teacher: So today we`re going to speak about holidays and their celebration and the theme of our lesson is “Let`s celebrate!” The aim of our lesson is to make a project “ Our favourite celebration”. ( cлайд 3)
Речевая разминка.
Teacher: Let`s remember some words which will be useful to speak about holidays. Please, repeat after me the words you see and hear. (Слайд 4)
celebration- праздник
take pictures-фотографировать
wear costume- носить костюм
exchange gifts- обмениваться подарками
hold balloons- держать мячи
make wreaths- делать венки
offer flowers and treats- предлагать цветы или угощение
eat traditional food- есть национальное блюдо
watch parades- смотреть парады

Teacher: Well done! Let’s remember the names of Holidays . Look at the screen, here you can see some of them: (Слайд 5)

Now come to the table one by one , take the card and say 5 words concerning to the holiday you see on your card. For example : Halloween – pumpkin, witches, autumn, October, costumes . (Christmas, New Year’s Day, Easter, Maslenitsa, Mother’s Day, St. Valentine’s Day, April Fool’s Day)

Teacher: Open your student`s books p. 48 ex.1. You can see some pictures and some words. Please match these words to the pictures. Do it on the board please. (Слайд 6)

Teacher: As you see some holidays are not celebrated in our country. Could you name them (St Patrick`s Day, Thanksgiving , Guy Fawkes Day, Halloween) and I`d like you work in pairs and to read some information about them then complete the gaps. Teacher: Now please open your student`s books at p.48, ex.3. Look through the dialogue and answer my questions:
1 How many people are talking?
2. Are Pete and Tess in the same place?
Teacher: Look at the screen and firstly try to translate the words and word expressions from the dialogue. (Ответы появляются после щелчка) (Слайд 13)

Teacher: Now listen to the dialogue and look into the text at the same time.
Teacher: Now let`s read and act out this dialogue. Who would like to read the role of Pete and the role of Tess (ученики читают диалог по ролям)
Teacher: Please, listen to me and decide if these statements are T (true) or F (false). Correct the false ones: (Слайд 14)
Tess is having a great time.
Nobody is wearing costumes.
Chris is wearing a spaceman costume.
Tess is wearing her witch costume.
Children are playing bobbing for apples.
Children are eating a pumpkin pie and toffee apples.
Pete would do anything for a pumpkin.
Tess didn`t invite Pete.
Teacher: Now please open your student`s books at p.49, ex.5. Find in the dialogue:
- Three names of games (bobbing for apples, musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey.)
- Two types of food.(pumpkin pie, toffee apples)
-Two types of costume (witch costume, Frankenstein costume)
Teacher: Now please work in pairs. Listen a very funny song
“Come to the carnival” order the lines and fill in the missing words: (Слайд 15)
(Ученики получают карточки с заданием. Строки песни надо расставить также, как в песне. Впишите пропущенные слова. Учащиеся слушают песню два раза)

Work in groups of 4-5 students. Come to me and take a sheet of paper with a number of the group. One of you will be the referee to find out which project is the best Make a poster about the holiday which you`ve chosen. (St. Valentine’s day , Halloween, Christmas, Easter) Write when and how people celebrate this holiday, draw a picture. Present your posters in front of the class in a few minutes.
