Конспект внеклассного мероприятия «Музыкальный фестиваль английского языка» (2-9 классы)

Цель урока:

приобщение учащихся к культуре страны изучаемого языка.

Задачи:

- познание культуры Британии, развитие интереса, мотива к изучению английского языка.

- активизировать употребление лексики по теме «Соединенное Королевство Великобритании и Северной Ирландии»;

- воспитание уважения, понимания, чувства толерантности к культуре страны изучаемого языка и ее людям.

Ход мероприятия.

(ведущие по очереди говорят текст, «переводчик» говорит на русском)

Good afternoon, dear guests! We are very glad to see you at our musical festival of English language! Welcome to our festival!

One billion people speak English. That’s 20% of the world population. English is the native language of 12 nations and the official language of 33 nations.

Why is English spoken by so many people?

English is the international language of businesspeople, pilots, diplomats, politicians, sportsmen, scientists, doctors, students, musicians, singers.

We learn English to get a better job, to travel abroad,

People solve the problems of the 21-st century (war and peace, ecology, demography, democracy…)

It dominates in trade, media, computers,

It is a brilliant source of information

Students of the 7^th form will tell you about the role of English language in the world.

For us English is the foreign language. We study the British English at school. It is spoken in the UK (the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).

Britain is a land of famous people. Let’s take a literature for example. Who doesn’t know such names as William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Arthur Conan Doyle, Walter Scott, Mark Twain, Джордж Гордон Байрон, Агата Кристи.

We know such characters as Tom Сойер, Шерлок Холмс, доктор Ватсон, Ромэо и Джульетта, Robin Hood.

We learn Shakespeare’s poems at school. Listen to the poem “ Sonnet XCI “ written by William Shakespeare.

Robert Burns was the great Scottish poet in the XVIII century. Listen to the poem “My Heart’s in the Highlands” by Burns.

A very good poem was written by an English poet Rudyard Kipling. It’s the poem “If”. (исполняется поэма «Если»)

Students of different ages are present here today. All of us like to sing.

Young people in Russia also like to sing Russian songs in English and in German. You’ll see it yourself.

Students from the 4^th form also take part in our holiday. Will you watch the Russian tail “Turnip”.

Some girls from the 7^th form like to sing modern English songs. Will you listen them?

Pupils from the second form will show you a Russian tail «Теремок»

(исполняется сказка «Теремок»)

Girls from the 8^th form want to be professional singers, that’s why they already prepare for European contents.

Let’s listen the song “Fairy tail”.

Our performance came to the end. Students from the 5^th form will sing the song

“There will be the sun”. You can sing the song with them together.
