Цели урока:  развитие языковой компетенции учащихся через обобщение знаний по теме “Television”

Задачи:

Обучающие:

Формировать приемы умственной деятельности, учить мыслить логически.

Побуждать учащихся к использованию уже знакомой информации на русском языке, на английском языке.

Практиковать учащихся в аудировании (восприятию на слух основного содержания аудиотекста с извлечением необходимой информации) и устной речи.

Формировать системное представление учащихся о видах программ и влиянии телевидения.

Развивающие:

Развивать критическое и логическое мышление при постановке проблемы, умение аргументировано высказываться, убеждать собеседников, учитывая при этом их аргументы и факты;

Развивать способности к сравнению и сопоставлению, к анализу и обобщению, формулированию выводов; развивать коммуникативных умений и навыков.

Воспитательные:

Учить критически относиться к программам, предлагаемым телевизионными каналами.

Сформировать представление о современном телевидении, его влиянии на подростков и на общество в целом.

Оборудование: мультимедийный проектор.

Ход урока

1. Начало урока. Постановка задач урока.

I’m very glad to see you. I hope you are fine, aren’t you?

From an early age television plays a large part in our lives, first watching children’s programmes and then as we get older, sports, films and news programmes.

So our today’s topic is “TV or not TV. Television viewing habits and effects of television”. The aim of our lesson is to discuss our viewing habits and how television affects us.

Express a general idea of the importance of television in our lives. The following words and word expressions can help you

Nowadays our television presents a great range of different programmes.

You’ve got papers in front of you, look at the list of TV programs and match the names of the programmes with their descriptions.      

Look at the list of types of TV programmes. Can you give an example of each type in our country? Which of these programmes do you regularly tune into and which ones you don’t like?

3. Повторение грамматического материала.

Clauses of concession.

Now, let’s do some language work and remember contrasts and concession. Read the negative review of the series La Femme Nikita and chose the right connector.

TELEVISION has changed our lives in many ways. Many people now spend more time watching TV than doing anything else. They often have second and third televisions in bedrooms and kitchens. They are part of family life.

 Do you feel that TV has positive as well as negative influences?

You’ll be divided into groups. Discuss advantages and disadvantages of television and express your idea and opinions.

Two girls had their individual tasks. They’ll begin our discussion about advantages and disadvantages of TV. Listen to them and then give us you own opinion. These expressions can help you.

5. Домашнее задание

Summarize what has been said about advantages and disadvantages of TV and write the essay “TV Or Not TV”. Express your own attitude to the problem. Follow the tips of writing an essay.

6. Подведение итога урока (Reviewing) и выставление оценок с комментариями.
