Целью урока является развитие лексических навыков по теме "Путешествие".

Описание разработки

Цель: научиться высказываться по теме «Путешествие»

Задачи: развитие навыков аудирования, развитие навыков чтения, развитие навыков говорения.

Оборудование: мультимедийный проектор, компьютер, презентация, аудиозапись, доска, учебники.

Планируемые результаты:

Предметные результаты:

составлять монологическое высказывание по теме

Личностные результаты:

оптимизм в восприятии мира.

Метапредметные результаты:

регулятивные: осуществлять познавательную рефлексию в отношении действий по решению учебных и познавательных задач,

коммуникативные: задавать вопросы, необходимые для сотрудничества с партнером.

1. Организационный момент

- Good morning, boys and girls. I'm very glad to see you today. Sit down, please. How are you today?

2. Сообщение темы урока

- Pupils, look at the blackboard. Seneca, a philosopher, once said “Travel and change of place impart new vigor to the mind”. 

- What do you think we are going to speak about today?

Ch2: famous sights

- You are right. We are going to speak about travelling and do you feel like traveling or not. You will share your own ideas, listen and watch, read and write.

Ch3: do we like travelling or not

-What do you expect from our lesson for yourselves?

Ch4: I want to improve my listening skills.

Ch 5: I want to enrich my vocabulary.

Ch 6: I want to know my friends’ opinion on this topic.

I want to practice in oral speech etc.

-Do you feel like travelling on your holidays? Why? Why not? You may use the following scheme for your answers:

-Some people enjoy relaxing on their holidays, while some others prefer something that is adventurous and thrilling. Listen to some young people talking about how they usually spend their holidays. What do they choose for the holidays? Make some notes.


-Read through the young people’s opinions and answer the following questions.

-What makes Jennifer choose travelling for her holidays?


-Do Jennifer’s friends share her love of travelling? Why?



-How does Jeremy like to spend his holidays?


-What is Jeremy’s attitude towards travelling? How does Jeremy explain it?

-What arguments for staying at home does Alison mention?


-What arguments against travelling does Alison mention?

-Can you say that Alison hate travelling? Prove your opinion from the text.

Ch 4: He hates it because it takes a lot of tie and energy.

Ch 5: Your family and friends are near you. You can choose your favourite food and speak your own language.

Ch 6: She thinks that people who travel can feel homesickness and feel lonely.

Ch 7: I can’t say that she hates travelling but she prefers to stay at home she says that there is no place likes home.

Ch 1:I think that Jennifer could make a long distance tour abroad, go on a “package holidays” and go on excursions to places of interest on her holidays because she likes travelling.

Ch2: I think that Jeremy could relax in front of the TV on his holidays because he hates travelling.

Ch3:I think that Alison could not travel far from home on her holidays because she thinks that people who travel far away fell homesickness and loneliness.

7. Развитие навыков говорения

Работа в группах. Развитие умений вести дискуссию.

-I want you to work in groups to find out all pros and cons of traveling. One group is coach potatoes; another group is fond of travelling. (Учащиеся формируют группы согласно собственным убеждениям и записывают плюсы и минусы на плакатах).

Now try to prove that it is worth/not worth travelling.


Примерные ответы учащихся.

Group 1: First advantage of travelling is visiting interesting places and meeting new people. While travelling you meet with other cultures and traditions which is surely valuable. Secondly, we improve our language knowledge. Also we become more experienced and ready to cope with surrounding world if we learn something while being in journey. Furthermore, travelling is the best solution for those of us who suffer from boredom. Travelling gives us a lot of fun and also make dreams come true.
Group 2: Travelling has some disadvantages. Firstly, costs of travelling are often quiet high for example travelling by plane, so naturally not everyone can afford. What is more, journeys especially foreign ones expose us to danger of disease or even death. Travelling can lead to fall ill and maybe then to expensive treatment or in case of fatal accident like for instance car accident. Most journeys last very long and it can make us feel tired.
