Цели урока:

Совершенствовать навыки и умения аудирования и монологической речи.

Работать над произношением.

Цели обучения:

Образовательные:

Расширение общего и филологического кругозора учащихся.

Закрепление лексического материала по теме "Дизайн".

Совершенствовать навыки и умения выделить главное по заданию.

Уметь обобщать полученные сведения.

Развивающие:

Формировать приемы умственной деятельности, учить мыслить логически.

Развивать языковую интуицию.

Воспитательные:

Побуждать учащихся к прослушиванию информации, использование уже знакомой информации.

Воспитывать чувство любви к своей стране и своему городу.

Развивать позновательную деятельность учащихся.

Методы обучения: стимулирующие и побуждающие.

Задачи урока:

Научить составлять рассказ.

Слушать и понимать аудирование.

Отвечать и задавать вопросы по теме.

План урока:

1. Орг. момент.

2. Определение темы урока и постановка цели и задачи урока.

3. Мозговой штурм.

4. Чтение докладов. Представление презентации.

5. Аудирование.

6. Просмотр видео о Санкт-Петербурге.

7. По описанию отгадать здание Санкт-Петербурга

8. Рефлексия.

“So many countries, so many customs” It is so. And houses depict differences in lifestyles.

Look at the blackboard/ What pictures do you see? What is the main idea of the lesson?

The teacher declares the topic of the lesson and suggests the students to discuss the following question: Why should people have a house or any type of shelter?

Possible answers:

People have houses because they need protection against snow, rain generally from bad weather.

Many years ago people needed shelter to escape from animals.

Houses are protection from the sun.

The houses people live in tell is a lot about their cultural level. People surround themselves with the things they like.

People need houses to run household/ Living is impossible without cooking, sleeping and doing many things.

People need houses to create a family.

People need houses to have a rest, to stay alone, to separate from the world for a while and etc.

Some students got some information about housing construction. Well, we’ll listen to them and see a presentation.

Thank you. Open your books on the page 100. We begin to work with tasks. Look at the photos and match them with the names.

Now we’ll listen to a cassette about these buildings and complete the table using key words from the exercise 2. Please, read your answers.

All right. Julia read questions and ask somebody from the group or our guests.

Next task is to listen to the cassette, name the chosen building and complete the Function File.

We are talking about different buildings from different countries but we shouldn’t about our city which is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I’ve got a video about our city. You’ll see a fragment about our city. Please, name the city sights.

Please, divide into groups for the next task. The last task is choosing one of the buildings and making a note about it. Don’t forget about some structures, passive voice, the verb to be, the active or state verb in the third form or with ending – ing.

Do you want to be an architect? Why? What was interesting at the lesson? Did you get any unknown information? What type of buildings do you like best? How do think architecture will develop in future?

You’ve done the task well. Your marks are …Your home task is to prepare the report about one of the buildings in St. Petersburg using words from the exercise from the lesson.
