The second conditional can be used: for imaginary / unreal situations. The if clause uses the past simple. At this point, teacher asks my student to complete some sentences, and here are some examples: – If I had more time, I… Using ‘could’ and ‘might’ instead of ‘would’ Teacher also explains that they can use could and might in place of would. To do this, teacher gives students the following sentences and ask them to explain the difference. – If I had more time, I could start learning the guitar.
Teacher gives worksheets to each student and they try to fill in the blank spaces with their own ideas. Consequences Chains Students say or write a second conditional sentence about themselves, perhaps using a list of possible sentence stems, e.g. “If I didn’t have this class now, (I’d still be in bed).” The other students say or write the consequences of that action and the consequences of the consequences, e.g. “If you were still in bed now, you’d oversleep and feel groggy when you woke up”, “If you felt groggy when you woke up, you’d drink 3 cups of coffee”, “If you drank three cups of coffee, you’d get chest pains”, etc. They continue until they reach a certain number of steps (usually 8 to 10 is a good number) or come to a natural conclusion.
Students listen to the text about food pyramid and try to understand what food they need to eat more or less.
Teacher gives worksheets and students must complete the boxes with the name of foods. Then they read their words and check up themselves.
Teacher divides students into 3 groups. The 1st student is reporter, 2nd is sportsman, 3rd is doctor and 4th is critic. Reporter must to ask answer the question to sportsman about sport. Doctor must say an opinion on these questions. And Critic must be disagree to the opinions of doctor.
