The theme: Unit 13 Clothes Lesson 1 She's got a pink dress.
Lesson period: 45 minutes
Aims:
a) educational: to learn to name clothes in English; to learn to describe clothes; to learn to use the article a/an in adjective + noun structures
b) developing: to enable the pupils to read for detail; to enable the pupils make sentences using the structure "S/he's got..." to describe people's clothes
c) socio-cultural: to raise awareness of the use of the article a/an in adjective + noun structures
Learning outcomes: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to: - name clothes in English;
- describe clothes;
- use the article a/an in adjective +noun structures.
Vocabulary: hat, T-shirt, dress, shirt, skirt, cap, shoes, trainers
Equipments: Pupil's book, Workbook, the DVD
The beginning of the lesson: a) greeting:
Good morning pupils! How are you?
b) to get pupil on duty's report
c) to create an English atmosphere
The main part of the lesson:
Activity 1 Listen and sing.
Objectives: to introduce the topic of the unit; to warm up
DVD script:

Activity 2a Look, listen and repeat.
Objectives: to introduce the new words; to prepare for the next Activity
DVD script:
hat, T-shirt, dress, shirt, skirt, cap, shoe, cap, trainers
S TEP 2: Play the DVD again. Ask the pupils to listen and repeat the words after the DVD in chorus, in rows, in pairs and individually.
A ctivity 2b Look, read and find Malika.
Activity 3a Work in pairs. Play “Listen and point”.
Objectives: to develop reading for detail; to revise colours
Answer key: Malika has got a pink dress, a pink hat, blue bag and blue shoes.
Activity 3b Look and make sentences.
Objectives: to revise the structure "S/he's got...; to prepare for the next activity
Teacher writes on the blackboard two examples: She's got a white T-shirt. She's got an orange T-shirt. Teacher asks the pupils to read the two sentences and find the difference.

Answer key: a white T-shirt/an orange T-shirt. Elicit from the pupils the rule where we use a/an and summarise as you did in Unit 6, Lesson 3, Activity 2.
Teacher writes one more sentence on the blackboard: She's gotwhite trainers. Teacher asks the pupils to look at the sentence and say what they have noticed.
Answer key: no article.
Teacher explains that the indefinite article a/an is not used with plurals.
The word "trainers" here means a pair of trainers and is in the plural.
STEP 3: Now teacher asks the pupils to make sentences using the words in the table. Show one example of how to make sentences. Teacher helps if necessary.
Consolidation: Activity 3c Look, draw and write. Objectives: to recycle colours; to develop the pupils' creativity
Teacher asks the pupils to look at the first T-shirt and say what they see on it. The sentence means -1 love English!
Teacher asks the pupils to draw and write what they like in the second empty T-shirt.
C onclusion: a) homework: Ask the pupils to look at the Homework and see if everything is clear. If they do not understand what to do, explain that they must write four sentences about what colour clothes they have like the one in the example.
b) assessment: excellent/good/fair/bad.
