Lesson aims:

To learn vocabulary of the features of books and films,to listen to a radio interview about books,learn the form and use of the Second conditional.Practise using the second conditional to talk about imaginary situations.

The lesson greeting.The teacher sets the lesson objectives, letting students know what to anticipate from the lesson.

Warm up. Teacher asks question:

  • What is your favourite film?

  • What do you like about the film?

Which part of the film do you like best and which character?

Teacher will model and drill the pronunciation of new words.























Teacher talk:

We use the second conditional to talk about hypothetical,unreal or imaginary situations.If I had 2000&,I’d buy a mobile phone.(I haven’t got 2000&,so I won’t buy a mobile phone.)

If+subject+past simple+would,wouldn’t+base form
