Date of occurrence Beatlemania is considered October 13, 1963.
That day The Beatles performed at London's Palladium. Although the concert was broadcasted in the program “Sunday Night At The London Palladium” all over the country, thousands of fans, mostly teenagers, crowded neighboring to the concert hall streets hoping if not to get on
the concert, at least just to see musicians.
During the concert it was a loud roar of the crowd, practically shut off the music.
After the concert, when the musicians left the concert hall, the crowd of fans, located on the street, organized a throng. "The Beatles" were able to get to the car only in the police encirclement.

Two days later the newspaper
The Daily Mirror published an article about the concert of The Beatles in Cheltenham. the word "Beatlemania" was used in describing the behavior of the fans. The term was picked up by other media.
After The Beatles came on tour in the US in February 1964, it became evident that Beatlemania stepped across the ocean. Soon Beatlemania was extended to other countries, including the Soviet Union.
From an ordinary huge popularity Beatlemania was distinguished by atmosphere of mass hysteria that accompanied every appearance of band on stage or in public.
Often, during the concerts it wasn`t be able to listen to the music from the noise of the public.
Hysterical Beatlemania phase lasted for the summer of 1966, when the group refused tiring concert tours and concentrated on studio work. Since that time and before the breakup of the quartettes their popularity was still very high and stable, and the status of the group in the charts of rock music was not questioned.
