Пояснительная записка

Методическая разработка ориентирована на использование учебно-методического комплекса «Английский язык» Ю.А. Комаровой, И.В. Ларионовой для 10 класса.

Данная методическая разработка урока по английскому языку реализует принцип непрерывного образования по английскому языку, что соответствует современным потребностям личности и общества и составлена для реализации курса английского языка в старшей школе, который является частью основной полной образовательной программы по английскому языку.

Основное назначение иностранного языка состоит в формировании коммуникативной компетенции, т. е. способности и готовности осуществлять иноязычное межличностное и межкультурное общение с носителями языка.

Иностранный язык расширяет лингвистический кругозор учащихся, способствует формированию культуры общения, содействует общему речевому развитию учащихся. В этом проявляется взаимодействие всех языковых учебных предметов, способствующих формированию основ филологического образования школьников.

Данный урок проводится на завершающем этапе изучения тем «Спорт», «Здоровье», «Еда» в 10 классе.

Участники урока- конференции обсуждают вопрос What do people need to keep fit? Ведущий - учитель. Ведущий открывает конференцию, объявляет тему, цели, представляет участников, названия газет, журналов. Участники первой группы делают сообщение, что нужно делать для того, чтобы быть в форме. Спортсмены делают доклад с точки зрения спорта. Врачи говорят о здоровом образе жизни, а диетологи предлагает режим питания и здоровую еду. Представители прессы задают интересующие их вопросы.

Урок пресс-конференция

Тема: «What do people need to keep fit?»

Цель урока: развитие коммуникативных умений обучающихся в говорении

Обучающая: активизация лексических единиц, развитие умения обобщать полученные знания, использовать их в новых ситуациях.



Развивающая:

развитие интеллектуальных способностей учащихся, развитие способности к анализу, сравнению, обобщению, развитие умения аргументировать свою точку зрения. Воспитательная: развитие культуры правильного питания, воспитание ответственного отношения к своему здоровью, положительного отношения к занятиям спортом.

Тип урока: нетрадиционный

Вид урока: пресс-конференция

Оборудование: таблички с названиями журналов и газет, а также таблички с данными для участников, плакаты.

Ход урока

  1. Оргмомент.

T.: Good morning. Glad to meet you. Take your seats, please. Pupils, today we are going to

have a conference and discuss the topic “What do people need to keep fit?”

Please, devide into three groups:

The 1st group – doctors, nutritionists, sportsmen;

The 2 nd – representatives of the press (newspapers: The Sun, The Times, The Guardian, and

magazines: Self, Weight Watchers, Natural Health), conference participants;

The 3 rd group – editorial team.

II. Участники первой группы делают сообщение, что нужно делать для того, чтобы быть в

форме. The participants of the first group make a message about what to do in order to be in shapе.

T. : Let’s start our conference. Doctors are going to make recommendations for us what we need

to do to keep fit.

D : Dear friends, there are many opportunities to stay healthy and be fit. Our health depends on

many things: our physical activity, the food we eat and our good and bad habits. Although a lot

of people are interested in staying healthy, not many people do very much about it. I want you

to remember good rules to keep fit and be healthy:

1.  Get up early and go to bed early to keep fit. (Sleep enough. Poor sleep quality can affect our

memory and learning. Experts advise getting at least seven hours of sleep a night).

2.  Take regular physical exercises to keep fit. (Exercise! Exercise is very important for good

health. It helps to control a person’s body weight. Exercising also helps grow healthy muscles,

bones, and joints. It reduces the risk of high blood pressure and diabetes. Exercising reduces the

risk of death from heart diseases. Exercise helps people to think and move better. It helps

manage stress, improves emotions, and gives people lots of energy!)

3.  Take a cool/cold shower to keep fit.

4. Wash your hands before you eat to keep fit.

5.  Eat healthy food to keep fit.  (Eat breakfast every morning. Eating breakfast can help people

feel better through the day. And, children who eat breakfast usually do better at school! A good

breakfast includes fruits, vegetables, and grains.)

6.  Clean your teeth every morning and every evening to keep fit. (Care for your teeth. Research

shows that taking care of your teeth can add over six years to your life! So remember to wash,

brush and clean between your teeth!)

7.  Never smoke, drink alcohol or take drugs to keep fit.

D: Smoking is one of the most common addictions. Smokers usually deceive themselves saying

that smoking is not dangerous. But statistics of diseases and death speak otherwise. The smoke

they breath have harmful substances, nicotine and ammonia. Young people think they look more

attracting when holding a cigarette. How to stop smoking? Governments and authorities do little

to diminish the number of smokers. They receive much money from the tax on cigarettes and

tobacco. How can we stop smoking? The best way is never to start. But if there is such a habit

already, we must be strong to stop it.

D: Drug-addiction is another problem of the twenty-first century. Young people are

particularly exposed to this threat. They try once or twice a cigarette with narcotic inside, then

they change to injections, and day by day they become totally dependent on this deathly habit.

–  There certainly should be more educational films, books distributed among people to show

the real threat brought on by smoking, drinking alcohol and taking drugs.

D: Alcohol is bad for health. Alcoholism is another social problem. It causes atrophy of cells,

weakness of sight, illnesses of kidneys, liver, stomach, heart and other organs.

It is easy and fast to become dependent on alcohol, but very difficult to overcome this habit.

Why do people drink? The reasons are similar to that of why people smoke. Once started it is

difficult to stop.

Т: Nutritionists offer a diet and healthy food.

N: All living things need food to survive. It gives us energy for everything that we do. It also

gives the body what it needs to repair muscles, organs and skin. Food helps us fight off

dangerous diseases.

It is important to eat a wide range of food in order to stay healthy. Nutrition is the science that

deals with food and how the body uses it.

As a nutritionist, I try to clear up the confusion that people often have about how to eat well.

Food we eat also influences our health. Nowadays people are very busy and they often eat in fast

food restaurants as they don’t have time to cook. Fast food is unhealthy. It is very rich in calories

(fatty) and has a lot of additives. This food gives a lot of energy. But if you don’t work it out

(израсходовать), it becomes fat in your body. The same is with chocolates, cakes and sweets.

They have much fat and sugar.

People should get rid of a habit of eating fast food and get into a habit of eating organic

food such as fruit, vegetables and fish.

Here are 10 nutrition rules (yes, rules!) that I teach my patients, and that I wish everyone knew:

1. Load your plate with vegetables.

2. Eat a balanced breakfast.

3. Don’t starve yourself. (не мори себя голодом)

4. Ask questions when you eat out.

5. Have a plan when you hit the grocery store.

6. Cut down on processed foods.

7. Limit your sodium and sugar.

8. Don’t just count calories. .

9. Switch to whole grains.

10. Enjoy your food.

All over the world people suffer from illnesses that are caused by eating the wrong food or not

having enough to eat.

In developing countries deficiency diseases arise when people do not get the right nutrients.

Kwashiorkor is a disease that occurs if your body doesn’t get enough proteins. Marasmus occurs

in young children who don’t get enough calories every day. They become weak, underweight and often die. Diseases often occur if you suffer from a lack of vitamins. Each of them does a different job. Not

enough vitamin D, for example, may lead to bone illnesses. Vitamin D helps the growth of bones

and teeth. Vitamin A helps skin and hair grow. Vitamin C is needed to fight off infections.

In industrialized countries people often suffer from eating too much. Too much fat and

cholesterol in your body can lead to heart diseases, obesity and cancer. High cholesterol levels

may make your arteries narrow. The result may be high blood pressure, a heart attack or a

stroke. The lack of certain minerals may also lead to illnesses. Not enough iron in your food

reduces the blood’s ability to make red blood cells, which are needed to transport

through our body.

T.: Our athletes(sportsmen) also want to talk about keeping fit. Welcome.

SP.: Keeping fit and going in for sports is also important for our health. It is true that nowadays keeping fit and being healthy is more popular than it was in the past. Firstly, it’s more available for almost everybody. We have gyms in our cities, sports clothes and healthy food in different shops. Secondly, being healthy and fit is fashionable today. We live in a polluted world, that is why more and more people are concerned about their health and that is why more and more of them start going in for sport. Sport plays an important role in people’s life. It is popular among the young and the old.

SP.: Lack of exercise in our life is a serious problem. In big cities people spend hours sitting

in front of computers, TV-sets and other gadgets. We walk less because we mainly use cars and

public transport. We certainly don’t have to be professional sportsmen, but we should visit

fitness clubs, go jogging, walk much, swim, go cycling or roller-skating or just dance. Doctors

say that regular moderate physical activity is necessary for our body because it protects us

strokes and heart diseases, flue and obesity.

T.: Thank you, dear specialists. And now we are going to listen to and answer the questions.

Conclusion of the lesson.

T.: Thank you. We have talked a lot about a healthy lifestyle. What are the rules of it?

Participant 1: So in order to be healthy and fit it is important to eat useful food containing a lot of nutrients and vitamins, be physically active and avoid stress.

Participant 2: I want to finish our conference with nice poem:

To be healthy in your life,
Don’t forget to do all five!
Get up early, quick and bright
Exercise with all your might.
In the morning jump and run,
Eat your healthy breakfast you have
Train your body , train your brain
And all bad habits pass away.

 Заключение:

Right now healthy lifestyle is the most popular lifestyle which everyone is trying to follow or at least striving to. Sport and health are closely related. Generally speaking health has several components and sport is one of them. Others are healthy diet, hasteless and calm lifestyle, being in harmony with yourself and with others and positive attitude, of course.
