Цели урока: закрепить лексические навыки по теме "Защита окружающей среды",

Задачи: познакомить учащихся со стихотворением, научить высказывать свое мнение по теме, развивать умения монологической речи, работы в группах.

Оснащение: презентация, раздаточный материал.

Good morning, pupils.

I am glad to see you. Let's begin our lesson.


Look at the slide and say what can you see (слайд 1).


Every day you go outside and see the world around us. You can see dirty parks, dirty water and river in the rivers and lakes, a lot of litter in the streets and grounds. You can see that our planet is in danger. So, what should we do to save it? What is our greatest task?

Who should solve these problems?




The theme of our lesson is the environmental protection


What are we going to do today?





Now, look at the cards that you have on the desks. Read them and tick the tasks which you're going to do today:


- learn new words;

- discuss ecological problems;

- learn to work in groups and divide the tasks among the members ;

- make up an ecological project;

- try yourself as a speaker;

Now let's read and translate the poem by Lorraine Bayes.


The Earth is our garden 
It's a beautiful place 
For all living creatures 
For all the human race, 

Helping Mother Earth 
We can peacefully roam, 
We all deserve a place 
We can call our home. 

Food is a treasure from soil and the sea. 
Clean fresh air from the plants and the trees. 

The warmth of the sun giving life each day 
Turns water into rain, it’s nature's way. 

And I would like to thank you, Mother Earth, 
I like to see you dressed in green and blue  
I want to be by you.

We have said a lot about protecting our planet. But how do the people harm our planet?





Now look at the slide and check if you were right (4 слайд).


What can we do to save the planet?


You'll receive cards with a special task.

You can see the words which you should combine to get expressions in order to answer my question

People throw litter in the streets.

The plants and factories poison seas and rivers.

People kill endangered animals.

We destroy wildlife.

We cut down trees and destroy forests.

Today you are divided into 3 groups: environmentalists, local authorities, citizens.


Every group consists of 4 people: a writer, a speaker, a creator, an artist.


Your task is work out a decision of protecting the Earth.


I'll give you ten minutes to discuss a problem and then be ready to answer.


A creator thinks up a decision, a writer writes it, a speaker makes a speech, an artist draws a picture.


Now time is up. Be ready to speak, to listen to each other very attentively and ask questions to each other.
















Выполняют задание в группе, каждый ученик - в соответствии с названием своей группы и своей ролью в ней.





Представляют проект своей группы, задают вопросы своим оппонентам.


6. Заключительный этап, подведение итогов урока, рефлексия.
