Цель:
обобщить знания, умения и навыки в рамках изученной темы.
Мотивационная: Формировать мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка;
Развивающая: Развивать различные виды памяти, критическое и логическое мышление при постановке проблемы, речевую компетенцию учащихся;
Образовательная: вовлечь школьников в активную речевую деятельность на уроке путем использования современных средств обучения и различных организационных форм работы; развивать умение аргументированно высказываться, убеждать собеседников, учитывая при этом их аргументы и факты; обеспечить коммуникативную направленность обучения и естественность общения.
Задачи:
Учащиеся должны знать и уметь употреблять изученные лексические единицы по теме;
Учащиеся должны уметь вести дискуссию о преимуществах и недостатках телевидения;
Учащиеся должны уметь рассказывать о любимых средствах массовой информации;
Учащиеся должны уметь воспринимать на слух иноязычную речь.
Ход урока.
1. Организационный момент.
Деятельность учителя.
Определение уровня готовности учащихся к уроку и создание комфортной ситуации на уроке.
- Good morning, students! I’m glad to see you. I’m sure everybody is all right. Take your seat, please.
2. Этап целеполагание и мотивация.
- Today we are speak about some means of communication. They are traditionally called the Media. The Mass Media actually rule the world and play a very important part in our lives.
- The mottos of our lesson are:
“Live and learn”, “So many men, so many minds”, “Obtain information – obtain the -world”.
- And now tell me, please, what types of Mass Media do you know?
- Very well. Anybody also? Masha, can you add something?
- You’re absolutely right. Well done! Sit down, please.
3. Этап актуализации знаний.
- I see, my dear, you know the main media, but what are their definitions? You should write their definitions. Who want to start?
4. Этап подготовки к активному усвоению знаний.
- Good job! Modern life is impossible without information. Is it true?
- We know about politics, crimes, cultural and educational events and we can hardly imagine our life without information. How do you get information?
- It’s right answer. It’s very well. Who can tell me what types of Mass Media do you use in your daily life?
5. Этап обобщения и систематизации изученого.
- How about their popularity in modern life? What do you think about it?
- Well, you’ll agree with Lena that TV is definitely the most popular way of getting information. It attracts the attention of million of people every day, every evening.
TV is very important thing in our life. We can say that TV is our eyes because TV helps us to know more about the world, about the others counties, about the events that happened in the world. TV even helps you to know more about yourself. People watch TV for fun and entertainment. There are some educational and cultural TV programmes. We may watch quiz shows and talk shows. Some soap operas and sitcoms make us relaxed and help us escape from reality, routine.
However, I must say that watching TV takes all free time from almost all people. Millions people in the world spend hours watching TV every day. Many people become TV – addicted and it’s really a problem of our time. These people call “couch potato”. (слайд 9)
- Do you know what does it mean? How we can translate?
- You can see on the screen results of scientific research. Researchers in the USA have said that when most student leave school they have spent 11, 000 hours in the classroom and 22, 000 hours in front of the TV.
Russian researchers say that the average Russian teenager spends about 20hours a week in front of the TV. (слайд 10)
- But the fact is that “so many men, so many people”. How do you often watch TV? Who knows how much time do you spend in front of TV every day? Do you know, Nurdin?

- To check up if you are “couch potato”, we’ll hold a TV quiz “Am I couch potato?” (Приложение 2). Look at the screen, please, there are 10 questions. You should answer on these questions with “yes” or “no”. Also you can see the worksheets on your desks, which you should fill in. (слайд 11)
