TOWER BRIDGE Tower Bridge is the only Thames bridge which can be raised. The road over the bridge is opened two or three times a week.

TOWER OF LONDON Tower of London is a very old building. It was built in 1066. In the early days the English kings queens were born, lived and were married there.  Then it was a prison where many people died. Black ravens had much food near the walls of the tower in those years. Now it is a museum.

ST. PAUL’S CATHEDRAL It’s one of the greatest English churches, St. Paul's Cathedral.  The famous English architect Sir Christopher Wren built it after the Great Fire. It is a beautiful building with many columns and towers.

TRAFALGAR SQUARE The center of London is Trafalgar Square.  It is the most beautiful place in London. In the middle of the square stands a tall monument of Admiral Nelson.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE Buckingham Palace is the London home of the Queen. The ceremony of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace is a great tourist attraction. To the sounds of music the guardsmen in their traditional bearskins give the palace keys to another group.
