Цели и задачи урока:
1. обучающая цель: обобщить лингвострановедческий материал по теме “London”, отработать фонетические навыки;
2. развивающая цель: совершенствовать навыки связной речи, развивать мышление, память, стимулировать самостоятельность учащихся, формировать познавательный интерес учащихся к предмету;
3. воспитательная цель: прививать интерес к культуре, традициям, достопримечательностям Лондона, формировать уважительное отношение к иной культуре, традициям и обычаям другой культуры, воспитывать умение работать в коллективе, в группе, в паре.
Ход урока:
1. Разминка. Good morning. Nice to meet you, boys and girls. How are you today? Do you like to visit different places and to learn something new?
2. Today we will have an unusual lesson. We will make an excursion around the city of London. First, listen to Maya and Marusya and say what they are talking about. (Майя и Маруся рассказывают диалог, ученики должны сказать, о чем говорят девочки)
A – Hello, Maya! How are you?
B - I'm great, thank you! And you, Marusya?
A – I’m fine, too! I haven’t seen you for a long time. Where have you been?
B – It’s hard to believe but two days ago I returned from London!
A - Really? It's cool! I know that you have always dreamt of visiting it!
B - Yes. I'm so happy. My parents bought tickets for me and my brother for
a week trip.
A - You are a lucky girl. And what‘s your impression of London?
B – Oh, it is the largest and the most populated city in the United Kingdom.
A - What sights have you seen there?
B – I’ve seen a lot of places: Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, the Globe Theatre,
London Zoo, the National Gallery and the Tower of London.
A – Have you visited famous London parks and gardens?
B – Of course! There are a lot of parks in London and Londoners are really
proud of them. I had a walk in Hyde Park, it’s the largest park in
London.
A - I'm so happy for you! You should have taken a lot of photos there!
B – Yes, I have. Come to my place on Sunday and I’ll show them to you.
A - Thank you for the invitation! See you on Sunday. Goodbye, Maya!
B – Bye - bye.

3. I see you know some places of interest in London. But what do you know about London? (Я задаю вопросы, ученики отвечают).

e) London is one of the largest cities in the world, isn’t it?
f) How many parts are there in London? What are they?
4. London is very rich in sights. Now your task is to make up pairs of words to find the names of the sights. Карточка на соотнесение слов
(каждому ученику) + на доске. (Ученики соединяют пары слов и читают названия достопримечательностей). Приложение 1.
5. Your next task is to find the names of the places of interest in your cards. Карточка со сканвордом (для каждой пары) + на доске. (Ученики работают в парах в своих карточках, находят названия лондонских достопримечательностей, обводят. Затем выходят к доске и выделяют эти места на плакате). Приложение 2.
6. Today our children have prepared short stories about some popular places of London. Let’s listen to the pupils and watch the pictures. (На экране презентация с картинками туристических достопримечательностей: St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, the Tate Gallery, the British Museum, Trafalgar Square, the streets of London, Big Ben, Madame Tussaud’s Museum, Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Hyde Park, the London Eye. Ученики рассказывают об этих местах). Примечание: тексты выступлений детей не даю, так как ваши ученики могут сами выбрать те достопримечательности Лондона, которые им понравятся, и составить несложные сообщения о них.
7. Would you like to learn some new information about the Tower of London? Take the card with the text. (Карточка с текстом с пропущенными словами для каждого ученика. Ученики читают и вставляют пропущенные слова. Затем читают вслух и переводят. ) Приложение 3.
8. London is a very big city, so sometimes it is difficult to find the place you need. If you want to get to some place you should ask a policeman or somebody else for help. Now take the card with the dialogue (для каждой пары. Также реплики из диалога размещаются на доске в произвольном порядке). Put the sentences in a logical order and read your dialogue. (Ученики читают реплики, располагают их в логической последовательности, затем выходят к доске и так же располагают реплики. Читают по ролям: 1 - 2 пары). Приложение 4.
9. I see that you know a lot of information about London. Now let’s do the last task for today. Read two short stories about London and find some mistakes. Correct them. Work in pairs. (Карточка с текстами о Лондоне. Ученики читают их, находят ошибки. Затем читают вслух и исправляют ошибки). Приложение 5.
10. And to finish our lesson, please, answer some of my questions. Would you
like to visit London? What places would you like to see in London and
why? Did you like the exercises? Which tasks were most interesting for
you? Have you found out some new information about London and what
was it?
