I suggest you listening to teenagers. (ex.1 of audio supplement to the textbook)
Your task after listening is to answer the questions: What questions were the teenagers asked? Do all the teenagers enjoy reading?
Write down genres of literature the teenagers like reading.

3. Start making your survey of pupils’ reading habits. Read the article, find words and phrases you don’t know, look them up in a dictionary and add them to your glossary.
Formulate questions that were the teenagers given to answer. Put them down in your List of questions.

I give you two figures of this research to make one more question of your surveys about reading. Ask your classmates these questions and make a conclusion.
10. Teachers and parents think a lot about some initiatives encouraging greater engagement with reading because it gives a lot of benefits to teenager’s development.
I suggest you working in groups to make The list of your initiatives how to motivate our pupils to read more. We may give it to the administration of your school to take your ideas into account making the plan of school this school year. To make groups I want you to take any card I’ve prepared for you (at random)

12. Many surveys carried out in our country alert parents and teachers about the lack of young adult’s interest in reading. The development of this skill is fundamental in this stage of maturity, when adolescents can achieve formal and critical thought.
Give your ideas how we can make reading enjoyable and profitable for our students.( groups represent their ideas to the class)
