Конспект   урока по английскому языку в 9 а классе  

по теме «Космические исследования»

Тип урока: обобщающий

Цель урока: систематизировать знания учащихся по теме « Исследование космоса»; совершенствовать знания, умения, навыки учащихся в устной речи, чтении, аудировании по данной теме; развивать навыки и умения учащихся выполнять задания по аудированию, чтению в формате ЕГЭ.

Задачи урока

Ход урока

I Начало урока

T: Good morning, boys and girls!

Cl: Good morning !

T: I am very glad to see you and hope you are ready to work. You are a ninth-former, a school student who can look back and think a little about the future. This year is difficult for you, isn’t it?

P: Yes, it is. We will have to take examinations when the school year is over.

P: The school programmer is not so easy. Our main task now is to be well prepared for each exams.

T: How important is knowledge in modern life?

P: Knowledge helps us to choose a profession.

P: Knowledge helps us to work well in that profession.

P: Knowledge helps us to be active? Useful citizens of our country.

T: OK! It’s very good. Some of you may already know what will be by profession others have not decided yet. Of course, it is not easy to decide as there are different professions but let us hope that you will make a right choice. First of all you will have to take examinations when the school year is over. What can you say about English exam?

P: As I know National Examination of English language consists of Listening, Reading, Grammar, Speaking and Writing.

T: You are right! The theme of our lesson is Space exploration. Today we are going to read, listen to the text , speak about space and the history of space exploration and at the same time we shall do some exercises of national Examination Format to improve your listening, reading, speaking skills. Let me start by asking you about the Solar System. I wonder if you could explain exactly what the Solar System is

P: Yes, of course! There are billion of solar systems in the universe. A solar system always has a big star at the centre. Lots of other smaller things like planets, comets, asteroids, all go round that star. Our star is the Sun and so our solar system is everything that goes round the Sun- the Earth, our Moon and the planets.

T: Do you know how many planets are there in our solar system?

P: nine planets

T: Call the names of the planets and find the right places for them in the picture.

T: people think that the age of space exploration began with the first spaceships in the 1950s, don’t they?

P: I’m not quite sure but I think they are wrong. Astronomers had been exploring the universe long before the beginning of space flights. Galileo made the first optical telescope used for astronomy in 1609.

P: I read scientists got a lot more information about the solar system and its planets with help of interplanetary probes, space capsules that carry special equipment and send information back to Earth.

T: It’s great! Now please, read the text about space exploration. Open your textbooks page 166 ex 10. Do you see the letters NEF? What do they mean?

P: They mean that this is the exercise of National Examination Format.

T: OK! At first let’s remember some reading recommendations for exam.

T: You have learned when the space explorations began, about some facts of the universe about the first woman cosmonaut and you know that there are highlights of manned space missions let’s remember them

1963- Valentina Tereshkova becomes the first woman in space

1965 -Aleksey Leonov is the first to leave a spaceship for a space walk.

1968- First manned flight orbits the Moon

1969- First manned Moon landing ; Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin walk on the Moon

1975- The American and Soviet crews cooperate in experiments

1986- Russia launches a new space station Mir into the Earth’s orbit

1995-1999 – Mars Orbiters were launched to study the Martian weather, climate, water and carbon dioxide budget

2000-2005- USA Russia

T: Thank you very much and now Are you ready to go on our work?

Cl : Yes, we are?

T: OK! It’s time to tell us about the father of rocket flying, a designer of space rocket system, The first man’s flight into space, and so on what you have prepared for today.

T: Thank you very much. It is remarkable, useful, wonderful. For thousands of years man dreamed of flying to the stars. At the beginning of the century the great Russian scientist Tsiolkovsky predicated that mankind will not remain on Earth forever. Half century later his words came true, the dream became a reality. It happened on 4 October 1957, when the 1-st artificial satellite was launched. Then the most remarkable event in the history of cosmonautics took place. On April 12 1961 the spaceship “Vostok” piloted by Yuri Gagarin went up. Mankind will remember him. A new era of man’s exploration of outer space began. Many space rockets went up by our cosmonauts. Today Russia wants the explorations of space to be based on broad international cooperation. Many international crews went up in space. This is the best example of the possibility of space cooperation. We can speak about the space explorations very much it is immense theme.
