«British and Russian food»

Russia is a country where live people of different nationals. In our country, you can try different dishes: from the well-known borscht to the Tatar chak-chak. Residents of our country prefer hot dishes, as we have cold weather. However, the British people prefer meat and seafood or fish.

Breakfast:

Breakfast is the main meal. Usually we have breakfast from 6 to 9 am. For breakfast, the most Russian people have sandwiches, porridge, as well as the option of cheese. As a drink is tea or coffee.

Breakfast in Britain different from ours. Breakfast can start at any time, but not later than 11 am. Breakfast includes fried eggs or scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, beans in tomato sauce, bread, mushrooms and tomatoes. All this is served on one plate. Also, the Britain people like for breakfast pies, omelet, porridge. As a drink is coffee or strong tea with milk.

Lunch:

For example, I decided to take the standard menu of our dining room. At first was hot soup. After the soup, we eat mashed potatoes with cutlet. Then we wash it down with compote.

Lunch in Britain is easier than ours. Lunch is a sandwich with various fillings. For example: tuna with corn and mayonnaise, ham with cheese. Also the British people have a famous tradition: to drink tea at five pm.

Dinner:

Dinner in Russia is meat, chicken or fish with different side dishes. After dinner we have tea with cookies, candies, buns.

For dinner, British people choose vegetable soup-pure. Usually it its tomato soup-pure with a piece of bread and butter. The most favorite second course is a steak of fresh beef.

Today all of Russian dishes are borrowed from the UK. The same dishes are porridge and all kids of sandwiches. But Russia and Great Britain have their own national dishes, which are different from another’s.
