Objectives:

Language competence: to consolidate the material on the theme “Food”: lexics and have got  with some and any

Communicative competence: to develop p-ls` skills in speaking and writing

Cultural competence: to increase p-ls` outlook, to increase the interest to the English language learning

Materials: 2 posters, interactive board, recorder, pictures of fruits and vegetables,lists with a chineword, postcards for hometask

Procedure of the lesson

I. Org. moment

 -Good morning, boys and girls.

-Good morning,Good morning,Good morning to you!

-Good morning,Good morning, I`m glad to see you!

-I`m glad to see you too! Sit down,please!

II. Speech drill

Are the lights on?

Yes,they are.

Is the blackboard clean?

Yes,it is.

Are the students here?

Yes,they are.

Is it time to begin?

III. Revision of the materal

We are at the zoo.

Today is “The day of guests  and presents” in our zoo. And we can feed the animals.(Slide 2)

What do we usually take with us when we visit animals at the zoo?(Slide 3)

Do we take toys? Do we take clothes?

Choose one word for all these words:

Now tell me,please, what fruits and vegetables you know......

 What fruits and vegetables do you like?  (Slide 5)

But what the animals at the zoo like to eat? Let`s guess the riddles:(Slide 6-15)

1) It is orange and long. Rabbits like to eat it.   (carrot)

2) It is yellow. Monkeys like to eat it. (banana)

3) It is green and long. (cucumber)

4) It is big and round, green outside and red inside. (watermelon)

5)  It is red and round. We make salad from it. (tomato)

6) Its name is its colour. (orange)

7) It is brown outside and white inside. It is vegetable. (potato)

8) It is white. Little children usually drink it. (milk)

9)Little old uncle, dressed in brown . Take off his coat…How tears run down! (onion)

It has many shirts. It is white and round (cabbage)

I have got a list of fruits and vegetables which I recommed to take with us for our animals. I give you this list. Work in pairs and find the words.

There is a list of thighs we are allowed to give the animals. Let`s see what we have or haven`t got from this list.Use “some” or “any”.

We must get lots of fruits and vegetables to feed our animals. Come and take from this poster any vegetables and fruits you want to give the animals. And say:

We are ready to give our presents. Let`s feed the animals! Draw a line and say: “I`m giving a banana to the monkey”

IV. Home task

Our visit has come to the end. And your home task is to write a postcard to your granny about your visit to the zoo. I`ll give you such cards:
