Цели урока: совершенствование умений и навыков практического владения английским языком как средством общения по теме «Animals in our life» по циклу учебника «Enjoy English 3» под редакцией М. З. Биболетовой.
Задачи:
Учебные:
- создать условия для актуализации лексических единиц по теме урока;
- обеспечить развитие навыков устной речи путем создания ситуаций диалога и подготовки монологического высказывания (рассказ о домашнем питомце);
- способствовать формированию у учащихся коммуникативного поведения.
Развивающие:
- способствовать развитию логического мышления, внимания, памяти, языковых и речевых умений;
- создать условия для развития мыслительных процессов и операций, связанных с приобретением опыта исследовательской деятельности, подготовки к предъявлению результатов и их оценки;
- содействовать развитию инициативы учащихся, их самостоятельности и активности, коммуникабельности;
- развитие интереса к иностранному языку как к средству общения.
Воспитательные:
- способствовать формированию потребности и способности к сотрудничеству и взаимопомощи, чувство ответственности при работе в группах;
- воспитывать уважительное и ответственное отношение к животным;
- воспитывать культуру общения, речевого взаимодействия;
- способствовать снижению уровня тревожности и преодолению замкнутости в общении.
Здоровьесберегающие:
- создание комфортных условий для организации и обеспечения образовательного процесса.
Оснащение урока: раздаточный материал, презентация Power point, компьютер, проектор, экран.
Ход урока
I. Начало урока
- Good morning, dear friends! I’m glad to see you again! Sit down, please! Are you ready to start our lesson? Today we’ll continue to discuss the topic «Animals in our life». Let’s start now.
II Фонетическая разминка
- Let’s learn the new tongue twister. It will help us to pronounce the English sounds and words better. Listen to the poem, please. Do you like it? Work in pairs and read the poem to each other. Will you read the poem as quickly as you can?

It’s fun to be that:
To leap like a lamb,
To climb like a cat;
To swim like a fish,
To hop like a frog,
To trot like a horse,
To jump like a dog.
III Актуализация ранее изученного лексического материала
- I’m sure you like to play different games. Let’s play the game «Guess». I’ll describe different animals. You will try to name them.
It can be very terrible and aggressive. It likes to eat meat and fish. It is very wild. It lives in the water. It is long and green. What animal is it?
(Crocodile)
It has a sweet tooth. It can swim very well but it lives in the forest. It likes to eat honey.
(Bear)
It is a nice and cunning animal. It lives in the forest. It likes to eat mice, rabbits and other small animals.
(Fox)
It has a beautiful yellow fur with black stripes.
(Tiger)
It lives in the trees. It can climb and jump very well. It can be big or small. It is funny and clever. It likes bananas very much.
(Monkey)
This animal is very unusual one. It can’t walk, run, and fly. It can only jump. It lives in Australia.
(Kangaroo)
IV. Знакомство с английскими пословицами
- Let’s learn the English proverbs about animals. The task for you is to read these proverbs and try to find their Russian equivalents.
When the cat is away the mice will play.
One chicken keeps a hen busy.
You can take the horse to the water but you can’t make him drink.
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
To kill two birds with one stone.
Curiosity killed a cat.
No bees, no honey.

V. Физкультминутка

VI. Развитие навыков разговорной речи
- работа в группах по проведению мини - исследования.
And now I want you to tell about animals that you take care of. We shall work in groups of five. You’ll ask the questions to the members of your group and fill in the table. And then we’ll discuss the results of your work.

Now it’s time to discuss the results of your work. Look at your tables and answer my questions:
Who keeps a dog as a pet in your group?
How many pupils in your group have a kitten at home?
Do boys and girls look after their pets?
What do pupils in your group teach their pets to do?
How do they take care of them?
VII. Проверка домашнего задания. Контроль навыков монологической речи
- Now it’s time to listen to the stories about your pets you have prepared at home. Be ready to choose the most interesting story.
a) Учащиеся заслушивают рассказы своих одноклассников о домашних питомцах;
b) Учащиеся сами оценивают и выбирают лучшие рассказы.
- Whose story did you like best of all?
- Who was the best story - teller? Why?
Language support:

He/she made no mistakes/a few mistakes.
