Конспект урока по английскому языку "Экскурсия по Лондону"

Работа предназначена для систематизации знаний учащихся по теме "Лондон". Способствует совершенствованию лексических и грамматических навыков.

Описание разработки

Цели урока:

совершенствование лексических и грамматических навыков, развитие аудитивных навыков.

Задачи урока:

образовательная: научить учащихся высказывать свое мнение, отвечать на вопросы и общаться на заданную тему;

развивающая: развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление, развивать навыки диалогической речи; расширить кругозор учащихся;

воспитательная: воспитывать уважительное отношение к стране изучаемого языка.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент.

Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls! I am glad to see you. Today we are going to start our trip around London. (Слайд 1) Look at the blackboard, please. Read the famous statement of Samuel Johnson. Translate this phrase.

Ребята, давайте попробуем объяснить, почему Джонсон так сказал.

Pupils:London is worth visiting. There are a lot of sights in London. People can’t be tired of this city.

Teacher: Yes, you are right. London is a city of strong customs and traditions. There are a lot of places to see and things to learn. Now, children, name the sights of London you know. (Слайд 3)

2. Фонетическая зарядка.

Teacher: This is Big Ben. And the first task is a phonetic exercise. Pronounce the names of the places carefully (Students book: ex.17, p.66 Enjoy English 5-6, Биболетова). (Слайд 4)

Teacher:  The next station is the Houses of Parliament. Answer the questions. (Слайд 5)

1. Who is the Head of the State?

2. Does the Queen of B retain live in the Tower of London?

3. Where does the Queen of Britain stay when she is in London?

4. Where does the Houses of Parliament stand?

5. This country’s leaders speak in the Houses of Parliament, don’t they?

4. Развитие аудитивных навыков.

Teacher: (Аудио Westminster Chore). Do you hear this? Do you know what is it? This is Westminster Chore. Do you like it? This is the next sight of London. Westminster Abbey. Let’s learn more about it. (Видео Westminster Abbey, House of Kings). Let’s check up how you understood this video. Listen to my statements and agree or disagree with them. (Слайд 6,7).

Westminster Abbey is a symbol of England.

Westminster Abbey was founded by St Paul himself.

Westminster Abbey was built by King Edward in 1650.

The coronation of all British Kings and Queens takes place in Westminster Abbey.

Some famous people are buried there.

5. Развитие навыков чтения.

Teacher: The next station is Buckingham Palace. Look at the sentences on your desks. Arrange these sentences in the right order. Read the information about Buckingham Palace. (Слайд 8,9).

Arrange the sentences in the right order and read the text aloud.

1) A lot of tourists go to Buckingham Palace.

2) This is Buckingham Palace – the place where British kings and Queens live when they are in London.

Teacher: What can we see in Trafalgar Square? Put the letters in these words in the right order. Write down them in your exercise-books. Are you ready? Read the words. Well done. You are very clever tourists (слайд 10).

  1. Развитие навыков говорения.

Teacher: The next station is the Madame Tussaud’s museum. We can find famous people there: Mark Twain, Agatha Christie, Elizabeth II. Say what these people are famous for. (Слайд 11).
