The  theme of the lesson :,,Food for thought’’

Aim of the lesson :Developing learners’ speech abilities .

Objectives:

Educational:

Discussing  health’s habits

Talking about food

Reading and understanding of the text .

Making suggestions,giving advices .

Developing:

Developing students speaking,reading,listening skills.

Up-bringing:to teach students to take care of their health.

Type of the lesson:   practical.

Resources:Active  Board,works

Procedure of the lesson:

1. Organization moment. Students  divide into 2 groups.

2.Warming-up.Food-Quiz.

Pupils refresh the vocabulary to the theme,,Food’’

3.Completing of the diagrams

4.Each group reads their answers .

5.Asking questions about food.Food fuel or pleasure?

Are you healthy?

Is food a pleasure for you?

Do you often eat things that are good for you?

Do you often eat unhealthy food?

How do you feel about it?

Do you think about your diet?

Are you trying to cut down on anything  at the moment?

Do you ever eat too much/too little?

Are peoples’ diet in your coutry getting better or worse?

Do you often eat vitamins?

6.Working with the text Task:read the text and try to understand it.

Students translate the content of the text .

7.Discussing of the text .

Students look the text through and make a list of criticisms and suggestions.

She shouldn’t worry about putting on a little weight.

Mary shouldn’t cut down the amount of food.

She shouldn’t skip breakfast/lunch.

Mary should find the other ways of putting down her weight.

She should go in for sport

She should count calories.

8.Students write Mary some advices how to eat and stay healthy and in good shape. Discussing  methods of loosing weight.

9.Evaluation.Home task, marks.
